How common is it for a panther to have safe entrance into a city and be treated like a Free Women?

Or even be granted entrance into a city because there is a hot meal being advertised? Would she not run the risk of being collared by a Free Man..or do they have the same rights as any Free?

In the escort of a man, she may be able to enter a city, providing she followed the city laws concerning weapons and such.  But alone, never unless she covered herself in the usual robes of concealment that a free woman wears.

I could be wrong, but I think that's how it works.

If she is not in trade business with a merchant, if she is not hired as scout or spy of an official, collar the slut!

If she beats you though while still free, bear it like the piece of property you are. Inform your owner in case you want to reveal that you were considered unpleasing by a free (which a panther girl is before she wears a collar). Maybe he will cuddle you (personal opinion: Ungorean), maybe he will not care about you getting a beating or even beat you too additionally (personal opinion: Gorean).

Anyways: Keep those pannies out of town unless they are hired, trading or collared.

Backlashes in IM, unless clearly pointed out as meant funny, are OOC and  thus OOC degrading of players, so a matter for the mods.
Backlashes in open chat are usually RP, and if a slave complains about them, she should consider if being a slave is the best for her, disney princess in a PG sim might be better then.
A panther coming for breakfast in a city must have a very wierd IC background, is an OOC mocking of the citizens of being totally ungorean, cap-whoring, or just... strange...

IMHO, RP does not exist in IM's and therefore that's an OOC event so give her a virtual middle finger and move on.

As for the tree slut wandering about in a city and not conforming to to the rules and regulations specified for a FW, maybe she'll feel comfortable to come back again when a FM is available to properly greet her.

She ended up saying that she was going to tell others about my attitude to her in IM..and it wasnt meant in a funny way..She never blacklashed me in open, she choose to do it in IM..which is OOC so I gave what I received from her

Given I do not misunderstand anything, such pannies are giving my beloved role a bad reputation down to the level of decay of the role. I hate that.

Ahh.. well then I'd have to ask if the city even has laws restricting FW with bows and how they are to be dressed. If so, then why did a FM not enforce them? Sounds like an IC matter for the city to address.

But back to your OP, if there was an open invitation for breakfast and she decided to take part in it and was permitted entrance the way she was and the way she was armed, then in that regard she did nothing wrong. Though unless the city has some standing treaty with the local panther tribes I doubt one would feel comfortable just wandering in alone. But it might make for a good trap to help replenish the kennels or give the slaver some extra coin by selling them off.

As for IM's? I'd not hesitate to match their tone and then some. If you want to work out some details about the RP or have a personal "friendly" conversation or ask a question OOC, then by all means. Use and IM for some IC scolding? Stand by for some verbal abuse from me. And I'd expect in return should I screw up and berate someone in IM no matter what role the play.

I'll play devil's advocate here for a little bit.  Would it be normal to just let a known outlaw (yes panther girls are outlaws) simply waltz into city flaunting themselves and being treated like a noble, unlikely.  Would she run the risk of being arrested, collared or mistaken for a slave and raped....yes.

Outlaws are deemed criminals, or at best without home stone, therefore protections of home stone and its laws do not really protect them in the least.  So they do not have any rights within the walls.
Hence why a man like Ven has no issue letting such into the city if they are not openly hostile, but he is far more likely having done that to make sure men happen upon her to stock the Scarlet barracks or tavern with a new slut.

As for the IM backlash.  Nice quasi polite "Sorry, I do not do OOC threats and harassment, take it in world and IC and we'll continue this, otherwise have a good day."

We have a panther sometimes trading pelts at us. But she never openly walks in the wagon camp, always role playing being sneaky. and sometimes she is caught, beaten or raped and left behind because the outrider in question does only want a moment of fun and not her as his slave. ((thats ooc driven, role playing with her as panther is much more variating and fun then putting her in a kennel somewhere))

Often panthers have OOC relations with guys in the city, and not all are capable of separating IC and OOC. I have seen the opposite too, that the OOC lover of a panther walked into a panther camp, was left in peace, and went to her hut for some love making, or just chatting.

I thought you meant by 'backlash' that she back-handed you IC. It's truly not for a slave to say what a Free would do, as in this case, your master.  Regardless, it is never ok for anyone to go off on another player in IM.

A question, not a challenge: would it really be likely that even in one of these events, a panther girl would be allowed to enter the gates of the city dressed in her panther clothes, and leave freely?  Or would she be expected to dress as befitting a FW?

To the OP: what was your reason for making that comment to the panther girl?  Was it purely IC, or were you trying to make an OOC point about the fact you thought she shouldn't be within the gates dressed like that?
