But they will never realize the truth of what he had said and it will never occurred to them. They can’t imagine the selfishness, driven by their EGO & hate, on back of the nice person they have been , will not Last if they begin to feel and understand that it hurts other the same what it hurts them….

YES!!!.. you guys have lost your smile, laugh, humour. Maturity, rational… or whatever a possible normal human being should have…..!!!

Not sure from where to start…. Or what to say…. I don’t have words  to represent how I feel, neither I have that much of time like you guys that everything need to confronted or every thread has my post in it or to  see or participate in this dog/cat fight..…. But to be very honest… it’s disappointing…. The way things are going… when I saw this site, I was so happy that okie… something to share but do you know what I feel…… I feel it’s better not to say anything about my views or opinions or my experience…. And the reason is that certain group of people will turn into what I DON’T want to or NEVER intended to…  though thread means discussion which means posts but HEALTHY one…..!!!

I have been going through lots of threads… of course the topic which grabs my attention, ohh yeah I have been reading some way old posts…. But frankly if you ask me… what I see here is… group of certain people… they hate each other and try to pull each other down by any mean, today xx wins in silly argument, tomorrow yy, yy is a friend of AB so xx will pull down AB, AB got pissed and attacked BB as BB is xx friend…. WHAT THE HECK….. you guys don’t have life….

As a reader of this site, I come here to read something about which I don’t know, discussion the possibilities of making things better and of course sharing some laughs with others…. What I see is,, people taps their fingers on table and sip the drink and say “yes… now I will teach him/her a lesson, how dare he/she said that other day”……. are your guys KID?

Each one of us have enough right to think and believe in what s/he feels right…. One can only put his/her opinion but in a nicely manner…. If you don’t like something is said.. ignore it and MOVE ON…. Please for the sake of other users…. Don’t wash your dirty linens in public….. discussions are appreciated but only when taken positively and in a healthy manner…

I believe that most of the user or guest are not putting their experience or topic in forum as they don’t want to be part of this dog/cat fight…. They enjoy the game and reading…. But are mature enough not to throw a piece of meat in this dog/cat fight….

Some of the regular users need to behave, stop attacking personally, need to learn to MOVE ON and yes respect what other say…. Pathetic I must say… if one sees a heated argument once in a while, it’s interesting … but why each and every thread needed to be treated like a heated argument or a reason to fight….

Please, for the love of God,… stop ranting, whining, personal attacks and behaving insanely or like a kindergarten kids, Stop forcing your views on others……  This Game is a small part of life not the entire life….. so GET LIFE for God sake….!!!

Ranting? Comes across as incessant and incoherent rambling to me. Perhaps english is not this persons first, second, or even third language, but working to string a few meaningful, and readable, sentences together might go along way at getting people to take these postings with any level of seriousness.

As with some of the other postings by this person, I'm sure there is an excellent point and perspective to be made, but I'm not able to grasp them.

Yeah… English is not my first, second, third or not even  (whatever number you like) language…  BTW… which English? US English, Canadian English, Australian English, South African English, Indian English, West Indian English or UK English???  Which English you’re talking about?

BUT, English is your first language, isn’t it ? Do you or Tertions , who commented on my post, see any word similar to “ advise” “please comment” “feedback needed”… NO.. right…. then what made you commented on it and lecturing about language when you can’t even understand when to comment on post and when not … Tertionus  gives me an advise which s/he herself/ himself can’t follow….  you come and lecture about English.  If English is your first language then I’m sure you would have easily understood and grasped if not then please don’t bother commenting as it is not required

so I have really no comments to make and when I will have I will initiate a thread and will keep it open for posting and if you understand my language so please be my guest and post your opinion BUT only opinion…

I was very much interested to know about Gor, The very big RP community in SL, in fact, I started reading Gor and finished first 3 novels in 20 days….  But here I find people arguing, degrading and insulting in open forum which really doesn’t help a new comer (speaking for myself) or give confidence to put something in forum to ask or discuss…    This forum is a representation of the GAME which we love to play…. (Not getting in to BTB or GE.. both are pew pew to me… one does it with mouth and another does it with bow) it gives a very bad impression  when there are insulting posts, also, it discourages to join the discussion as being a newbeie. I have been part of numerous forums where people share laughs, important information and  other stuffs which helps a reader or participants.. not insults.. so yes I was very disappointed to see how a noble idea, of creating a site and sharing information about a RP game, is being abused by some of you.  That’s what my post is all about. I put down what i felt. I see many times a serious discussion has been turn into insults and pointing fingers which ruins the excitement of reading. I was very much interested to know about Gor, The very big RP community in SL, in fact, I started reading Gor and finished first 3 novels in 20 days….but it’s waste of time as not only in this forum but also in other forums the situations remains the same as it’s Gor and everyone is perfect….so I’m sorry, it’s my fault all Gorean are same… it’s was stupid of me thant while having a drink and I thought of reading and I got so pissed off by seeing all this insults and hate… my bad…. Which is very much needed… and of course Keira for posting something like a “crash course” for newbee… 

Hope I made it clear in my this post what I mean and if you still doen’t understand then… please don’t bother… it’s beyond Gor- whore shit….  Yes, English is not my first, second, third or even ( whatever number you want to put) language but I’m really not bothered on this.

I suggest if you do not wish to have people comment on your opinions, that you do not post them in a medium specifically designed and provided for the debate of just that....

I think I understand the sentiment you intended. I'm sure we've all read forums from time to time with a sigh or rolling our eyes and wishing a thread hadn't degrated to personal attacks and would focus more on roleplay or Gor the genre and education.  I'm sure for a new member a lot of it can seem harsh, or out of context,  but....

if you are experienced with other forums then I'm sure you'd find that though new members are welcome and all questions answered, a post that pretty much attacks everyone here and the board itself is rarely warmly received.

Your interest in Gor the genre and as an RP community is admirable, as is your attempts to meet people and learn more by participating in the forums, I just think perhaps by calling us all names as more or less your introduction might have been the cause of the reactions.

Stick around though, we've all gotten frustrated at some point in our SL and made rants too 

There is laughing and knowledge to be had here, there really is. 
After a time you learn to filter out or skim past certain threads, posts or posters and you'll see.

He comments on being badly disappointed about how negative these forums can be sometimes, driven by the most prolific posters at times ....

I agree in part with what Heaven said.  If you post something on the forum, you should expect to have that position challenged.  However that is not what Steamraj was getting at.  Far to often in the forum threads a discussion degenerates into personal attacks.  I have no problem with anyone attacking a position I take.  If you attack me personally I will tell you to go fuck yourself and the swaybacked tarn you rode in on.  However not everyone is that thick skinned.  They see other players get savaged, then get attacked themselves personally.  Not for a position they took but because someone decided that hey this guy doesn't speak/write the way I think they should, or they have ideas that are different and/or better than mine,   Cant have that can we? 

Come on folks, grow up a bit.  Debate is a great thing, but personal attacks have no place in them.  Enough of my rant and I am off to the old west.  Yee Hah!!
