In an emotional and heart felt challenge to the reputation and honour of Treve, Havoc Rau proclaimed the death of his cousin, the former of Ubar of Treve, had little to do with an heart attack.. but the recent events of aggression between Treve and Isle of Cos. He challenged the warriors of Treve to readdress this situation.. to regain the honour and integrity of being Trevian and once again be commited to their unique way of life and distinct values,  and to make their former Ubar proud to have lived and died in Treve.

Havoc was seen to be walking away with senior warriors of Treve after the ceremony in a manner which suggested that his speech had pricked the conscience of those assembled.

I was not able to attend the funeral ceremony, but certainly the warrior was not suggesting that the Green Caste could not tell the difference between a foul deed and a heart attack? Wink

As an observer of the outcry, the warrior's heart felt speech was suggesting that it was the fault of Cos' attack, occupation and the resulting forced 'alliance' that was made, that perhaps was the cause of said heart attack.

His speech, though moving brought feelings of dread to the Teletian heart of the Regent. Such brash reactions often lead to further sorrow.

The candlelight can be seen glowing through the window of the office of the High Commander at all hours of the night.  His form can occasionally be seen passing by the window, pacing, or staring at the map of gor, but mostly sitting, staring blankly at his desk.

He has not been seen in the city but rarely since the passing of the Ubar and hearing the clamoring for vengeance against Telnus.  In these encounters, he has seemed distant, his eyes appearing to look more inward than out, troubled, tormented.

Kajirae have only served him paga and say his office is strewn with scrolls and though they cannot read, they agree the scrolls bear the words they know to mean "Codes" and "Honor".

*looks up to the candle burning and Carter hastily scribbles a note saying ,( in what in most social circles would be described as a spider walking across the paper after dragging itself out of the ink well, but many scholars across GOR have proposed the translation of these markings to have said)

"A commitment made in true faith at the time and circumstances of being made to save others, cannot be considered dis-honoured when the needs of those who rely on you, need and demand leadership to undo an unjust action"

or something like that .. that last bit was a little hazy as the ink was running out and was more punctured into the scroll like braille with the nib.

In a daring attack today.. with the combined forces of the Torvis Mercenaries, led by the cousin of our former Ubar - Havoc Rau, tarns swooped in from ships over the port of Telnus in the Isle of Cos, as raiders from Treve invaded from the beach and held the forces of Cos at bay in the dock area.

Bitter fighting ensued in the port,  as Cosians sniped and hailed down arrows on the Trevian forces, as the Torvis allies swept upto the upper city of Telnus o their tarns to claim our objective, which shall remain secret for now.

Several trevian warriors fell in battle.. as running battles continued waiting for the call that our objective had been achieved. For some that call came too late.  The Captain of Treve and several brothers where left behind, their sacrifice justified in the fact that honour had been restored to Treve and its citizens, despite the fact our High Commander was missing from leading his men and restoring any faith or trust they had in the man.

Negotiations are underway to bring home the prisoners left behind, but Treve has recovered its pride and its honour as the Raiders of the Voltai !!!!

HAIL TREVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

upon hearing the new's of the High Commander's alleged dissapearance she ran, with harta to request an audience with the high council.

Siting nervously before them, worry etched upon her face, she recounted the event's of the previous evening, how she, unabale to sleep late last night had decided on a small walk about the City, during her moonlit stroll she had encountered the High Commander. He had infact startled her, His manner was brusque, she had initially thought from His purposeful stride that trouble was afoot, raiders perhaps, but it quickly became apparent His extreme aggitation was for some other purpose, something she couldnt quite place.

Upon Greeting Him, she worked hard to hide her shock, His appearance was like that of a vagabond! unkempt, unshaven.. He was gaunt and Her healers eye told Her that He had not slept or taken nourishment in days. as the thoughts circulated in her mind they were interupted by His hoarse and ragged voice "I need food" was all He said, so She, finding no slaves about in the twilight hours took it upon herself to prepare for Him some sustanance. As He ate, seemingly unaware of her presence, she observed Him, there was a slightly chilling air to Him, a wild look about His eye, something frantic perhaps? no... no! focused! yes He was obsessively focused. On what? she was unsure, but His Aura told her it was something troubling.

She followed when He left, quite concerned by His welfare, His demeanour was not as it should Be, she was unsure if He was drunk, though he certainly seemed pyhsically in control, "Delusional" she thought to herself, as He loitered about the bath house. She stepped forwards and wordlessly led Him inside, preparing for Him a bath as by the priest kings did He need one, setting Out a small blade and soap so He might let instinct take over and shave, she settled herself away from Him, knowing she should not be here but too concerned to leave Him alone in this obvious unhinged state, she waited, He did nothing, He made no attempt to wash Himself, no acknowledgment  that He was even in the bath. The next part of the tale she would not offer to the council, for though it had truely been the act of a concerned healer and friend, it would none the less be frowned upon.
She had gone to Him and taking the balled up cloth from His hand she had washed Him quite unceremoniously. She proceeded, as she continued to mull over this new turn of events, to shave away the shadowy beard He had adopted over the past days, the days she had heard rumours of, days said to be spent in anger and despair locked away in His Chambers saddened by the loss of he Ubar,"perhaps" she thought, resentment not to be named his succesor and then these raids on Cos and it hit her then, that what ailed Him was not of the Body, but of the mind.
He said little, nothing infact as she went through the motions of cleaning him.. all He did was smirk, a  disconcerting smirk, as though laughing inwardly at some private joke and His eyes... goodness those eyes held the glint of evil she was sure, as black as shaded pools of water. she was, in his presence wholly spooked. Some thing about this Man's new found trait's told her that He could not be trusted and with slight fear in her eyes she had backed away, turned and ran.

She thought to make the High Council aware of the next day, but before she got the chance she Heard news of His dissaperance... she was now certain His behaviour and His failure to Join the Cosian attack were linked

We met with the Cosian embassadors. Our men were released before the onset of the meeting as a show of good faith.  We were meeting with 3 people of Cos, Geseille and two men.  It was apparent that only Giselle knew we had the homestone so the other two men did not understand any demands we were making.  It became apparent what exactly we had in our possesson and as the horror registered in their eyes they became very eager to deal with us.  At that point we forged ahead rapidly.  THe only agreement while we recognized it was already gone was officially set aside and a new one tooks it's place.  A treaty will be worked out for aid specifically against Port Kar....and then as a matter of pride...for a Trevian can never return something without substantial payment...we shall be receiving 30 cases of Cosian Red and 20 crates of dried Wingfish.
As we left for Treve....a sudden thought was that we should move our own precisious Homestone to a safer location...Hide it while not being used in ceremony and put another rock there to thwart any Cosain that might wish retribution of some sort.
