I had a bag of vegetables from Primus that I would use for fun OOCly. It attached to my back I believe, like a knapsack or something.  I think they did like 30% damage maybe? But to be honest slave weapons...unless you are really, really good, are not a match for bows or swords.

Each GE sim is different too. I think in Skerry you still can't use a sword or bow.

Not so. I took out those three panthers, bows vs. rocks. That was because I was kneeling on the couch so they initially didn't see me + I surprised them by attacking + I was darting around like a banshee + I didn't have time to release from my collar so I was bouncing up and down off my knees and back down to my knees like a yo-yo + I have good aim.

I held up my own in raids and used to run around downing all the raiders in red. That is the best use of slave weapons, right there. It also was the cause for the most messy OOC explosion during a raid that I've ever been in.

I used to beat my Owner consistently, blow gun vs bow (and he is very good). I couldn't beat him as consistently with my slingshot though. That was because the blow gun shoots faster then a bow + I was darting around like a banshee + I would psyche him out first: "It would be really embarrassing to lose to your little slave girl, my Master".

It's no wonder I'm free now.

It's not just about aim and the damage that your weapon does. Meter combat is a mental manipulation game too. Once a slave learns how to use her fort/home to her advantage + how to do sneak and surprise attacks + how to make the raiders think she's better then she really is, she'll be a ninja-kajira force to reckon with.

When I left GE there was one sim that allowed slaves to use bows but not swords. I hope that hasn't become a trend. If so, I left just in time.

There's another slave pack at Primus that I had that was fun. It's a backpack with a sack of rocks and a stick. The stick sits on top of the pack so it's covered by your hair. Surprise stick that they didn't see = bonus. Plus they *never* take your backpack.

I should say as a disclaimer that I don't fight at all now. I don't even carry a dagger and prefer to not use a meter. My words are my weapons now.

Recently I have been having a look at the GE sims and giving them a try (I know, hellish place for raids!)  My question is what weapons as a slave am I allowed to have, am I allowed to fight to defend the city as the free do?  and also where is the best place to purchase and learn to use these properly? I am fed up hiding every time the enemies arrive...yikes

Why would a slave risk her life to defend a city? A slave has no homestone, the only situation where she could risk her life, is for helping her owner, and even.... If he is the love master, yes, else, same, the slave is better to protect her life and hide. Or she may steal the collar key and get free 
Seriously, a slave who would pretend to help warriors to defend their homestone... I would be a warrior, the slave would be whipped for such pretentiousness.... Do you imagine that warriors of your city need to be helped by women and slaves in the defense of their city? Are they so weak?

I agree with that. A kajira would very unlikely fight defensively to protect others. She is property of her owner and thus where he deems his homestone to be if he has any, and men would not much like a kajira to fight aside of them, I guess not even a fighting kajirus from the arena for the doubt of if he could turn on them (not that a warrior fears the skills of a gladiator, but it would be an additional hazzle or backstab opportunity). As for defending any owner, the kajira knows that she is trade good. She gets stolen or not, she has no saying in it, even if she had found her true master (if he sees her as his true kajira is another thing). For him she might risk her life eventually.

As for the kind of weapons allowed to kajirae when they use it, those slavedamage things always itched me. A panther girl enslaved, a male warrior enslaved, and suddenly they know but to toss rocks anymore, to wield a broom or dough roll? Unlikely. That would certainly only be used in real last stance of defense situations. There are examples in the books if I am not mistaken about kajirae taking main weapons, swords, to use them for their purpose. From no book I have read (not all of them I admit) I remember a kajira opposing a warrior with a broom or tossing half fistsized rocks at Panther Girls. So in Canjellne I allowed kajirae to take any weapon they can IC lay hands on if they strive to defend at all - but capped at 35% damage to reflect the differences in physical strength of men to women. But the risk of being slain for it stood, the lesser proficiency usually came commonly from the lesser ammount of training and known legal tricks in GM meter fights.
For purely roleplayed battles I think the kajira should be mature enough to allow to lose with a 90% chance (means: If she plays really so much more intelligent in her emoting than the warrior, the warrior can well lose *winks*).

Being fair to the OP though, she's playing in GE so the discussion on whether or not a slave would fight according to the books is a moot point.

I never liked the slave damage rules either but there were a lot of problems with arrows and rocks doing the same damage. It wasn't lowered to say that once you're a slave, you're suddenly weaker then you were as a free. It was lowered to make the relative damage of rock vs arrow more plausible.

RPing your imprudence has nothing wrong. The ridiculous thing, it's the kajira in nadu in the middle of a street, during a raid... Like a big flashy sign upon her head "CAPTURE ME PLEASE".

But Im not sure that a capture in a GE sim is very fun... Torture, sadism, torture rape release?

Capture in a GE sim is just capture.. but if it's combat roleplay,  IE Ghost, KWO, Siba, or a number of the other outlaw camps, it is a program of raid, down the population, torture and humiliate, and release. In group chats they check to see how many captives they still have from the last raid before they go raid the same place again.   At least in the GE group I was in did.

Do not underestimate it. GE is not everywhere bad, there are actually many very gorean roleplayers.
The ways you find yourself treated do not differ much from BTB, maybe you risk sadism more than in BTB, therefor in BTB you get mental sadism by hours long lone caging. So...

GE : Torture -> Rape -> Release/Trade/Rescue
BTB: Cage -> Girlfriend Sex -> Trade or Cage until the captive TPs out

Yet that, I think, can really not be assigned, it is not a Label thing but a people thing. BTB is not a holy cow, GE is not the hell we doom it to be.

Indeed......... the visions of me 'dipping' naked with one boot on trying madly to fire and run at the same time (caught unawares) were the funnies scenes I have ever been involved in............. back to btb for me I think but hell it was funny and there are some great rp's there you are right, not sure they enjoyed being blown up with the paga fire bomb however ..still laughing
