I'm looking for a sim that has a healthy low caste base.

I've been to Port Kar and they had a good mixture of high and low caste, but most places are innundated with high caste and have no low caste to speak of. I've also been to Minus but not Treve, for obvious reasons.

I'm not interested in outlaw roleplay and Torvie sims scare me. They might collar me just for being a fair skinned auburn haired southern misfit.  Wink

I'm an herbalist by trade but I need other first knowledge superstitious low caste to make my roleplay work.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

We have about 33 low caste people at Imperial Ar, we do have an herbarium at the Cylinder of Physicians to which you could be easily employed and use and several merchant shops in a seedy little market where you could lure customers. Go have a look! Smiley

*Laughs* I'd have to stay clear of the physicians. They don't generally appreciate my concoctions. *coughs*

But I'll come have another look. My last visit there was full of high caste.

Reminds me of people and reincarnation.  It always seems that anyone with a past life always remembers being of some upper class - royalty, warrior, etc. No one seems to remember ever just being a peasant cleaning up cow dung. Can you blame them?   Every sim seems to have most people in Upper Caste or slaves.   Wink

My suggestion, for whatever it may be worth, would be to choose a sim based upon the totality of the circumstances;  i.e., the build, the people, how you feel while there, the story lines, and all of the things that contribute to an enriching RP experience.   Once you have found a place that *most* fulfills your expectations, begin to role-play there... create interesting and compelling story lines, travel to other places and engage folks in your story, let them know where you can be found, i.e., where you are based, and draw them into your story...    it may be that folks will bring the RP to you...  and it may also be that folks who are looking for a home and who are exposed to your RP will base their choice upon that observation...  and little by little you will build your world around you as more and more folks allow their story to entwine with yours.

Reader's Digest version;   there is very seldom a 'perfect place' or a 'perfect time' -- jump in, RP, RP, RP, and then RP some more...  and make your surroundings what you want them to me.

Easier said than done, I admit... but, nobody ever said it would be easy.  This is Gor!!  Ha!  Could be that certain, erm, Dockworkers, might have use for nefarious and effective concoctions...  things to cause temporary blindness, for instance....   to render folks unconscious....  truth serums...     the possibilities are endless...  and may be lucrative as well!!   Could be that an herbalist might find it useful to develop contacts with smugglers and other such folk..  one must be able to lay hands upon the more difficult substances and supplies..  no??

Good luck!!  Come see us!
