*Hears all about the revolt from whisperings in the village and yells out profanities* HOW AM I GONNA GET TO WORK?! *Bangs her head down on her desk in her apartment in Minus and fluffs out her blue and gold caste colored dress*

oocly... bring on the rp. People should not be afraid of conflict between members in Treve as long as oocly everyone gets along. Now more than ever is a great time to have an ooc party. Rp needs conflict and sure, why not? About time Minus' role in the Treve sim will get a clear cut definition.

Soooooooo I guess Minus doesn't need Treve anymore to defend it against attacks if the BC are going to do it to protect their interests in the city.  Kinda ruins the Treve/Minus rp theme though doesn't it?

not to brag, but given the results of WoH, Minus is better off. We didn't create this RP, we were drawn into it. And for the record, we haven't been paid yet.

Koh is correct, no one has hired us yet. There was some talk about it but no one has given us coin.

The role-play is fun to watch though and will be interesting to see unfold.

XXXX walks over to the cell and clangs the hilt of his dagger on the bars, "Wake up, prisoner!" he barked at the woman

Wanita Slade: Remaining as she is, she calls up "Im not even asleep".

XXXX furrows his brow, "Then why are you laying on the floor? Are you preparing for something?"

Wanita Slade: It was how I was left.

XXXX pulls the key to the cell from a pouch at his belt and unlocks the door, careful to place the key back into the pouch. He opens the door and enters the cell, standing over the woman. He nudges her with his foot. "What is your name?"

Wanita Slade: "Wanita" She says, she was all too familiar with the temperament and it was all deja vu to her.

XXXX squats down next to her and places the dagger next to her cheek, "Well Wanita, what did you do to warrant such harsh treatment from Treve?"

Wanita Slade: "Hmmmm...what did I do? Well, let me see. I was not able to afford the trading license and had hoped to be granted some kind of deliberation, you
know to work out a more possible amount for mere villagers to afford? Yes that is why Im here. For being hopeful that the Ubar would be understanding that not all roll around in wealth and decadence."

XXXX smiled at the woman's obvious anger at the recent tax edict. "Well, I'm not really here to discuss politics, or whether or not the villagers have a right to demand anything." He moved the dagger slightly, so that it rested next to her ear. "What I would like to know, if what you think we should do with you now. You obviously are in quite a perdicament here"

Wanita Slade: "ERrrmmm... yes Im in a bit of a pickle and really void of creativity to egg you on what is to be done with me. I mean... I suppose it would be pretty
obvious what lays ahead unless there has been a conference of new and innnovative ways of dealing with your captives?"

XXXX laughed loudly, "Well, you seem to be familiar with the ways of prisoners. How about we get a good look at you now" He moved around and grasped one of her boots, tugging until it came off. He tossed it into the corner, then did the same with the other. He stood then, looking at her, trying to decide if she might have any kind of weapons on her. He knew that in the heat of battle, sometimes warriors forgot to search the women prisoners.

Wanita Slade: Idly counting the steps of standard trevan frisking of prisoners, she quietly smiles to herself. At least this Rarius knew his stuff and she was inspite of
her state quite impressed with his assertiveness.

XXXX decided that he might as well do it right, since he'd get skinned alive if his boss found him trussed like a tarsk by a woman in his own cell. He slid his dagger carefully under the ropes binding her and sliced through the material of her blouse, and pulled it away. He then did the same with her skirt. He threw both scraps of materal into the corner to keep the boots company.

Wanita Slade: Feeling her body jerk with each movement of his hand, she continued to count. The Ubar would be proud of his minon, at least this one. Knowing it was futile to throw a hissy fit, she put up little struggle to the Man's actions. Hearing the audible melancholic tones of steel ripping through fabric, her body was depleted of its robes. She however remained staunch in her ways and not a whimper she would permit to slip forth from her lips.

XXXX was a bit disconcerted by the woman's silence, used to being verbally lashed as he did his job. He hummed as he worked, this time slicing though her undergarments, until there was no clothing left to hide her from his eyes. Still marveling at the silence, he pulled a small comb out and began running it through her hair, checking for pins. He knew the trick of Free Women and wasn't about to fall for it again.

Wanita Slade grumbled as she felt the tug and pull as the comb ran through her hair. She hisses out in temper at his crude manipulation and calls out "There is nothing that would prick you naughty , dont worry".

XXXX  grinned, but continued anyway. "If our roles were reversed, would you trust me?" He was finally satisfied that she was clean of anything to harm him, and took the dagger to the ropes binding her. When she was free, he grabbed her hair and pulled her to a sitting position. "Now, let's have a look at you. I am assuming the Ubar wants you as a slave, at least that's what usually happens with captive women."

(GM)Bindings: XXXX loosens Wanita Slade's feet allowing them to walk.

Wanita Slade: Turning her face only slightly as she glances at him from the corner of her vision she so coldly replies... "If I knew the calibre of the person that you are I would." Hearing his words about "ubar" and "slave", it was old news to her. Recalling the mutiny she had nearly raised when his own men doubted his mental stability, she sneers. "Rule and govern the weak by fear and fear alone. Amazing how the wheat is separated from the chaff."

XXXX's face paled as he realizes he overlooked the dagger strapped to her thigh! He hastily grabbed it, sticking it in his own belt. He stepped back and folded his
arms, "I'm not a ruler, I follow the orders of my Ubar. I understand that you were one of the rabble rousers in Minus, trying to talk the others into revolting against Treve"

Wanita Slade playfully hums ... "Aha!" Then looks to him as she nods approvingly. "This so called rablle rousers that so easily spout forth from your tongue is Im afraid so untrue. How are we to pay coinage that is worth more than .... " Looks to him before turning away "... More than the salary of a Warrior? What sense is that and then to lay upon us like tryrants? I mean Treve is at war and yet she spends little to no time to strengthen her military but oh instead have time to harass villagers that keep the trade route open for the city. Even visitors have commented on the lack of male presence. All this because the Men of the red mountains are too busy writhing in the furs with their slaves or getting drunk."

XXXX listened impassively. When she was finished, he grinned, "Oh, but you seem to forget that we are Treve. We take what we want regardless. We don't need your trade routes. Were it not for us, you would have been taken over long ago by some other city. And from what I've seen, you merchants have more than enough to cover the new taxes, so don't give me your sob story"

Wanita Slade: "If you dont need us then your so called hidden city would remain found and free. Maps of it easily attained at a mere copper at any fair and market.
You take what you want yet you rob the very people whom protect your locality. Speak logic"

XXXX took a bit of effort to keep from rolling his eyes. "We do not need your protection. We remain hidden even from most of you villagers. I think your argument is weak. We are more than capable of keeping our location hidden, and punish those who would profit from the information"

Wanita Slade lets out a small laugh "So it is what you think" She looks to the warrior, feeling a sense of pity. "You dont know."

XXXX meets her look, his eyes crinkling in a smile, "I don't know? Perhaps it is you who underestimate the power of this great city. I think maybe you might benefit from a little tour of the place." He pulled out a length of cord and tied it to the collar around her neck. "Come with me"

Wanita Slade: "Of course, show me the very tiles and stone that has greeted me numerous times. Unless there have been changes." She bequeathes him a small
smile. She was tired of repeating herself.

So just to be clear on this , from what I have read in the forums, the revolt , has finished? with all , it seems of the prisoners escaping from Treve and returning to Minus? , is this rp continuing , or has it merely been deemed not to have happened , as when I logged off on Sunday , we had many prisoners in custody ,and the  rp looked to be getting interesting with trials and fines coming up I assumed , and several of us Rarius willing to help out Wanita and any other villager with money to pay their taxes , even if it seemed disloyal to out Ubar.
