Dove, how did you leave Treve without being killed?

That's a long huge saga there, carried through to this day. Not enough room on forums to tell the story, needless to say every Ubar of Treve up to Carter has known why I remained alive, someday we'll sit down Ace and I'll share it sometime, when you have tons of hours to burn.
And it starts with the ancient title "tarnkeeper of treve" given to me by Theodoric Delphis, Ubar of Treve and a curse by the priest kings to keep on living in gor, no matter what.
I get to visit the cities of dust, about once every 2 years and they kick me right back out. ( I live by the ancient rules death is always temporary until I personally decide to  eliminate my avatar or her history)

There are a few who have left Treve and maintain that as part of their characterisation..they remain safe because they are mature and responsible with that IC knowledge of their past in Treve.

Its actually quite fun to RP with that context with these ex Treve citizens.. and Adoveea has many many secrets that are useful to an Ubar  Wink

The rustle of a page, the click of bowl placed again upon the table are the first sounds that break the long hours in the snow laden air. With a smile Dove leans back and rubs her eyes in pure contentment of a quiet day gone by, one spent in peaceful pursuits and work. No screams, no shouting warriors racing here and there with the whistle of arrows flying. Just the peaceful mummers as she tends to three people within her new home and the quiet joy of study later that night. Her eyes show mirth as she cups her chin in hand and gazes down at the thick book blazoned with the symbol of the physicians, aii that book was thick but she was determined to master all that was within it. She had already mastered the technique of throwing it against the wall with a satisfying thunk, a physical therapy for a mind that was overtaxed with learning.
She thinks of her life, from the steps she first took timidly with her family of Rau, Havoc and Melichor in Treve. What a lifelong journey she had made to this point, from a child injured by a kick of the head, to builder of tarns, tarnkeeper, Ubar Advisor to the Ubar Theo, companion to the Captain of Treve Rask Hammerer, then Rask rose to be become Ubar, and she Ubara, and she bore a child and they ruled over the city.
She blows a kiss of grateful thanks from her northern lands of Skjern to her Warrior in the far off mountainous Treve lands to the south. "Keep safe my Beloved Warrior" she says in a lilting tone, with no shadows of regret for their life together. How can there be regret? She finally could concentrate on what she had wanted to do, train as a physician to help others. She runs her fingers through her hair dislodging and loosing the long blonde locks and picks up a brush smoothing it into a river of smooth strands.
Her thoughts again swirl over the requirement of a female physician is that she have born two children and she laughs inside remembering the words of her cousin Melchior "I can make sure you have a Free Companionship contract that makes getting you pregnant the only duty and right of your Free Companion-and he will have no other rights over you and your property." She stifles a snort of amusement thinking of her informing any would be Companion "I only want you for breeding" and falls off the chair, papers flying as she rolls on the floor holding her ribs as the gales of laughter overtake her until she lays breathlessly merry among the scattered papers.
She rises to her feet and puts the many leaves back into an organized pile and puts a hand on top of it, thinking of family and friends long and far away. "I will see you again someday" she promises those distant shadows in her quiet soft voice "but for now, I must learn to heal". And she walks to the door lifting her face to the dancing northern lights as the snow touches her cheeks like a lover and smiles brightly.

Him, Dove and Rask were the very first people I met on my arrival on Gor Cheesy
Still remember with fondness how wonderful and interesting that day was. Dove helped me greatly that first day... Sheesh was I clueless, it was something like this:

 Grin

You know, come to think of it, Bart took me on my very first Tarn ride!  Yup.  I guess you could say he swept me away from Earth and carried me off to Gor whereby he proudly showed me his toy.  Nice long ride on the beast!

I’ll see if I can dig up a screen shot of that day … too funny.  As I remember, the sim crossings were a hoot (I fell off several times) and the scenery was blah because it was way before Windlight.  Gonna log in and dig that bit of my Gorean history out for review.  Oh!  And I have a few pics of Bart too!  He was one strapping and creative Gorean male!  *coughs*  Wink
