Greetings everyone

In the past few days I have like everyone else tried to keep up with the happenings of Our lovely Homestone. Things have changed and changed back... and still here we all are. What this proves if nothing else is that Teslit is a family taking care of their family first as it should be.

Although I was not able to make it to the festivities this past weekend I have heard from people outside of Our village that boast about the fun they had. BRAVO .... Teslit and whomever that committee consisted of.

Now it is time for Us to pull together as we have and help where we can. Sometimes knowing too much is not good ~ knowing too little simply not good enough and a point where we need to know something. As I sat this morning reading through the notecards of this past few days ... I listened to the chat in the DarkDreamer's group ~ It was a good read to be sure ... alot of questions .. some great suggestions etc ... What dawned on me at that point is that those people that were not logged in that very moment ~ may have benefitted from reading the very words I was reading. The questions raised and what Teslit seemed to know at this point as far as our direction went. Clearly there has been alot of confusion .... but never have I seen a moment go by that people are not genuinely concerned as a whole. My suggestion simply ~ that while some have the answers and some have the questions ... why not compile a FAQ's with answers for the time being in this board ... resuggest strongly to those not in it to become part of it .... so that when the people with more answers do log in they are not inundated in THAT same chat everytime.

We must not stress each other out Teslit ~ We must rise from the ashes and move forward !  Yes I am new to what has become my Homestone but it does not change my dedication... lets all help each other stay ~ focused and keep the RP going !!

Mother and E/everyone,

I think this is an excellent suggestion.  I am one of those who is unfortunately quite confused about what has been going on because I have not been able to be in realm terribly much.  My real life busy time has come just before I've been able to settle in and get to know the Villagers of Our Homestone.  It is very easy for Me to check this board while I'm working so I would love to have more information about things that have gone on posted here to read.  I would absolutely love that.

I left the DarkDreamer group when I logged on and read a notecard because I thought I was supposed to with the move to Sardar.  But should I not have left the group?  I hope to be able to get caught up and into the proper groups soon.

I know a little about this.. not the reasons behind the situation... but the sale of the sim to the sardars has fallen through and the sims wont be moving. Perhaps tomorrow it will be resolved or more fully understood.

However, financially as you will appreciate this is a worry for Mackenna, who for several months has been paying for 2 full sims and a homestead (the woods). She did have ideas to use the remaining the sim, had the move to Sardar gone ahead,  to create a smaller, less intense, less complicated gorean RP environment.

Moving sims can be costly and although, what should be a simple process can be complicated if the Lindens arent on the ball... Treve was once put next to a gay beach sim.. that was fun and interesting.

I dont think I am disclosing too much personal information, but Mackenna has not been that well, running a full RP sim can be very stressful and although she loves the community, the sense of what Teslit is.. it can be a huge burden, that I know only too well with regards to running Treve.

I am sure Betony and the others in Teslit will begin to share plans, but I suspect at the moment, its a little fuzzy what they will or can do.

From my own experience in these matters.. if the community and sense of friendship and fun is important to you ..then just let things evolve and clarify and continue as though nothing is happening.. constant questions, IM's notecards can be overwhelming at times, especially when you arent on top form.

thank you both for your words ... I could not agree more that it is difficult at best to run and own a sim. Both Myself and My Love Desi Domela have owned, co-owned and help run sims for a long time ~ I know how unrewarding it can feel at times ~ I know of the "everytime I log in theres an issue" nevermind the offline IMs and notices one has to keep up with ... I merely ask that We as Teslit ~ pull together ~ get registered in here ~ post whats going on or some semblence of the notes being passed ~ so that when we are able we can read on the go ... and then deal with everything apprpropriatly when we do log in. I had heard that people left groups last night and that some were told to do so ~ now I am hoping we can recover those who have left already bound for other places.

I do understand the costs surrounding owning sims as well ~ and like stated earlier I see alot of people saying ~ let us help ~ soooo all I am saying and imploring ~ is ...... let Us help ~ put out a kiosk for donations on the boat or in the scribery ~ to help with tier fee's .. charge people rent for housing rather then letting them have it ~ Teslit (mackenna)...... though courageous has been far too kind for far too long ... help Mackenna ... make Teslit stand tall and together again.

As citizens of Teslit we have heard there is a meeting this Saturday at 11 AM SLT to discuss options. Some of the suggestions by Lady Raven have been rasied as well as trying to gather some "investors" from the citizens of Teslit to put up $ on a regular basis to keep the city where it is.  I shall wait until our meeting and see what is possible.  Much depends on Mack and what she is up for....with her health and finances being the priority.

I have been in Teslit only a short time but the beauty of the city....its people.....the Tarn House....and our neighbors in Treve and Minus add much to the rp that happens and is possible!  It would be a shame if it implodes.

Aye...let us hang in there and see what we can do together.

this evening as I was sifting through the forums reading various bits and pieces from other cities .. I stumbled across a writing done by Redsnapper Teitlebaum regarding the upcoming "waiting hand" I smiled thinking that ... We ... are playing in the waiting hand a week early .. what appropriate timing for this holiday of solemn letting out of the old and quiet celebration of the new year to come. This is what we are doing ... this week ... My hats off to those that have stuck it out thus far ...I look forward .. as I am sure you do ... to walking our new cobbledstone paths in our new world of the New Year ....
