[Betony Baryl]

The batty brewer stumbled out to the woods and crawled under a tree to sleep off the last sampling of her brew.  She awoke to find a fledgling hawk perched on her chest that had fallen out of its nest.  Betony's face was the first thing this batty bird saw and so now thinks she is its mother.  Betony tried shooing away the bird . . screaming "Be Gone!" so many times, the critter now thinks BeGone is her name.  BeGone likes to collect materials for its nest . . . so don't be surprised if BeGone is tugging on your hair or trying to fray your garment.  BeGone also likes to collect other objects . . such as shiny copper coins.  Don't be surprise if you are the victim of one of BeGone's bedevilments and are left a scroll when you're gone to "emote" its high jinx. 

Though troublesome at times, BeGone is protected by the Port's administration because of its valuable role in keeping the Port free of urts and all manner of rodentia.  Any that harm BeGone shall face serious consequence!!!

Mercy makes a point to remember about "BeGone". He will especially see to it that his tarn is well fed before flying anywhere nearby to avoid the "Ooops....sorry that my tarn ate your bird!" excuse!

I wonder if BeGone has seen the size of some of the urts plaguing the Port.  At least Ven will not have to worry too much about the hair aspect.
