Since we are growing, and I have a feeling some of the warriors want something more to do that smack around Pirates and fondle kajira.  The Port should have a First Sword amongst the guardsmen, though contest will be open to all men of the Port.  I think each month, or every couple months, we hold a contest to determine the best blade of VVP.  As the grumpy old man I will not participate so that I can be an impartial officiate of the contest.

Suggestions for best time to hold such a contest are welcome.

An excellent idea Ven.  I suggest that you also send this notice out in the VVP Group and perhaps ask Mack to put up a notice at the entry point to the port.

well form what i have seen, most people tend to be a bit more active  after 5 pm est that being 2pm slt. so i'd say bottom line has to be held in the afternoons but its a good idea. maybe  just get tournament swords  to use as a level playing field since I myself use the spear and some others uses other weapons. but make it an annual thing sounds like a good idea and it makes sure to keep activity up and will keep everyone sharp.  the the first sword pick out a place to attack
