As Saphire sobs at Flame's bedside, gena comes in, lost in her own thoughts...

[0:29]  gena Littlebird: oh sorry ladies, i was lost in my thought and did not notice you
[0:31]  Saphire Kamala sobbed silently
[0:32]  Saphire Kamala: Gena, she's dead
[0:32]  gena Littlebird runs to the bed " Oh, no, no...not her!"
[0:33]  gena Littlebird: Tears rolls on her cheeks.."What happened?"
[0:35]  Saphire Kamala: she was crying uncontrollably now and shook her head at Gena .." I ..I ...ohhh I don't know. She was found in the woods..." ..her sadness now turned to anger as she moved closer to where Her friend laid, knowing this was wrong - She shouldn't be dead... she felt her small hands form to fists...
[0:36]  gena Littlebird walks closer to Saphire and put a gentle arm around her shoulders, not able to speak.
[0:40]  Saphire Kamala: she felt the gentle embrace but her heart was now beating with pure rage, she simply couldn't accept this, it was beyond...only one day she had been back and this was terrible... her eyes narrowed as she raised her arm... her fists began to hammer against Flame's chest as she cried out... .."WHY...WHY......DAMMIT WHYYYYYYYYYY...." over and over her fists impacted the delicate chest of her friend not even realizing what she was doing...
[0:43]  gena Littlebird is puzzled by the rage of Saphire and wants to take her fists away from the poor body when her eyes widened... "Saphire, look, look....she is not dead" and she rushes to take the stethoscope."
[0:43]  Saphire Kamala: her tears blurred her vision as she felt her already broken heart break even further ...her small fist hammering against the chest in a almost even rhythm...
[0:45]  Saphire Kamala:..hearing Gena, she stopped in shock, having realized what she had done as she stopped and moved forward, she placed her hand over Flame's chest and felt a faint beat ....."ohhhhh get a stethoscope and listen to her heart Gena ..." she then began to massage the heart area with gentle strokes before pinching her nose close and slightly parting her lips as she blew gently but firm breaths into Flame's mouth...
[0:46]  gena Littlebird put the bell of the stethoscope on Flame's chest, hands trembling and cries... "Saphire, she is alive, she is alive....you made her heart restart...." Tears mix with laughter of joy as she looks at Saphire...
[0:47]  Saphire Kamala: she nodded and tried to think fast what to do... she ran across to the counter and collected a small light after having washed her hands and dried them... she collected some needles and a tube, as well as a saline bag ..."we have to hurry. she is very weak and has wounds as well...
[0:48]  gena Littlebird: "Yes," she said and goes on massaging Flame's heart and blowing into her lungs alternatively as Saphire gathers all that is needed to revive Flame...
[0:51]  Saphire Kamala: she returned and took a swab drenching it in disinfectant, taking her arm she she looked at the veins and found one suitable before she rubbed the swab over it. Taking the saline bag, she hung it on the stand and connected the tube to it as well as the needle...she then takes the sharp object and inserts it into the vein...checking its flow and making sure the solution would hydrate her and replenish her blood loss...
[0:52]  gena Littlebird stops massaging Flame heart's and sees her chest moving slightly as she inhales air spontaneously. She listens to her heart with the stethoscope and can hear it beat feebly and irregularly...
[0:54]  Saphire Kamala: seeing the horrible cut on her throat as she looked at Gena... "Can You tend to that please, Gena??"
[0:55]  gena Littlebird smiles "Her heart keeps beating...it is feeble, but it is beating."
[0:56]  Saphire Kamala: moving up, she took the light and gently pried her eyelids open to shine the light onto her pupils...there was a small reaction but Flame wouldn't be out of the woods yet...her heart could stop at any moment again... she cried as her and Gena were mere apprentices but they had to try at least...
[0:56]  Saphire Kamala: yes Gena , the next 24 hours will be critical...
[0:58]  gena Littlebird nods and delicately removes the bandage from her neck and frowns as she looks at the deep cut in her throat...  "This is a miracle that he missed the artery! The cut is deep, but clean."
[0:59]  Saphire Kamala: she leaned over and looked shuddering ...."She's lost a lot of blood, and will have a nice scar to show for if she makes it."
[1:00]  gena Littlebird nods "Yes, it might be that she will keep a scar from this. But at least the bleeding has almost stopped."
[1:02]  Saphire Kamala: she looked about ....."the saline will have to be checked regularly and replaced. she will be weak and will need tending to .." ..she now rolled her eyes looking at her friend .." dammit, she will have us running about after her trust Me ..." she tried not to laugh now...
[1:03]  gena Littlebird hurries to the cabinet and takes a few jars on the shelf . She comes back and takes a rep cloth and douses some disinfectant on it. She cleans thoroughly the wound and flashes a bright smile to Saphire " She is going to make it, i am sure she is going to make it. Yes we will stay with her all day if needed"
[1:04]  gena Littlebird opens the lid of a jar and takes a bit of the thick antibiotic oil on her fingers, and next smears it gently all over the wound.
[1:05]  gena Littlebird: What do you think Saphire? Can we stitch this..it is so bad?
[1:06]  Saphire Kamala: she looked closer ..." yes I say so...make sure the wound is washed out properly before you saturate it please, then cover it gently...
[1:07]  Saphire Kamala: she then leaned closer again to check Flame's breathing, making sure she was able to and smiled as she did, faint and weak but breathed none the less...
[1:08]  gena Littlebird nods as she checks the heart beat again and smiles... "It is getting more regular now." and goes back to the cabinet to get all is needed for stitches...
[1:08]  Saphire Kamala: she checked her pulse as that was weak also but she was alive, barely but thank the Priestkings she was...
[1:09]  gena Littlebird laughs as she takes things in the cabinet " I can't believe it, Saphire, she is alive!"
[1:12]  Saphire Kamala: she mumbled now wondering how much trouble she be in for letting her fists rain down on Flames chest...
[1:16]  gena Littlebird comes back near Flame and looks once more at the big cut, now clean and neat. She takes a a pre-threaded-needle and begins to insert the needle on one edge on the wound, next on the other edge, tying the thread in a neat small knot, tight enough to get the edges close, but not too tight, careful to make the stitches perfect, so that the scar will be minimal. She goes on doing stitches, frowning with concentration, anger filling her heart at the length of the big deep cut. How could somebody did this to the lovely lady...
[1:17]  gena Littlebird smiles as she hears Saphire mumbling. The best indication that she is less worried now and she feels Flame is going to make it...
[1:17]  Saphire Kamala: she leaned over to observe smiling ..."make sure the skin is not puckered Gena."
[1:18]  gena Littlebird nods and looks at her work, satisfied. "Yes, Saphire."
[1:19]  Saphire Kamala: leaving gena to finish off as she checked the bag making sure the flow was even, she took a small bandage now and wrapped it around the crook of the arm to make sure the needle stayed securely...
[1:22]  gena Littlebird cuts the the thread of the last stitch and checks the wound. Satisfied, she takes a small jar, opens the lid and applies a clean gauze on it...
[1:21]  Saphire Kamala: finally she took a deep breath and looked on ...." I think that's it... just need to wait the next 24 hours."
[1:23]  gena Littlebird sighs " yes. I trust she will survive. She has the strength of a warrior"
[1:23]  Saphire Kamala: she's too stubborn to die
[1:23]  gena Littlebird laughs, delighted " Yes, she is..."
[1:24]  Saphire Kamala: she now looked at gena with a smile ..."thank you so much. I am sure I could have not done this by myself."
[1:25]  gena Littlebird checks the level of the saline solution in the bottle and turns her attention back to Saphire...
[1:27]  gena Littlebird smiles "I am happy I could help..." A thought seems to suddenly cloud Gena's smile. "But the one who did this could come back! Maybe we should ask a warrior on guard?"
[1:27]  Saphire Kamala: yes I will get one stay here with her
[1:30]  gena Littlebird takes Flame's hand and begins to check her pulse, bus as soon as she feels it beating regularly, her hand slides on the small hand and she holds it gently, as if she could give some of her strength to Flame.
[1:30]  Saphire Kamala runs out the door and hurried to the guard house explaining her business , one offered to stand guard over flame as she urged him to follow her , she arrived back and pointed at the chair...." you may sit sir but don't you be falling asleep or ubar will have your head " ...he mumbled at her in a grunting tone which she merely ignored...
[1:32]  gena Littlebird looks at the man obviously not pleased to be here and shrugs. If he is angry, it will keep him awake!
[1:33]  Saphire Kamala: OK, that's all we can do.

Not to sound like a stickler but if Xaz ran a blade across your neck and then stabbed you on the back of the neck I don't know how you would have survived. I'm not saying this was bad roleplay because for all i know it was set up so you would survive the encounter and yes there is a chance that just running a blade across the neck isn't a guarenteed death sentence but stabbing you on the back of the neck severing the spinal cord from the neck would be or at the very least cause paralysis (and thats a real slim chance being the blade is so close to the brain).

There is the other factor that the only accounting of the actual death (at least from what I have seen so far) was that Xaz pierced the back of your neck but didnt offer anything specific as to what was damaged so it is anyone's guess what the actual damage was (at least what was written in Black Rose).

Sorry but I am a little confused about it is all.

Not to sound like a stickler but ...

To be honest, Sir, I didn't like the idea of coming back with...memory loss?...after being killed?...makes no sense unless the PKs send you back from the Land of Dust?...*lol* So many Goreans have used this as a way to 'come back' after being killed. TO me, it seemed implausible. A wonderful, creative soul came up with this and I made the decision. OK, Goreans, sue me. *grins*

I have put a lot into the character of Flame, and I won't do a permanent death on her, at least yet. So, like the MANY miracles of RL, when someone 'should', by all accounts and logical reasoning, be dead, then survive such an ordeal or ordeals that defy human existence - Flame has survived. Such is the way of RP.

I can understand people not wanting to do perma death i.e. closing that avatar's account entirely or not play it in sl gor anymore. I know each and everyone of us have invested quite a lot of lindens, time and storylines into their character.

So to counteract any death, Ive noticed a lot of people after having resurrected from the 24hr death, they resume as they were. The only fundamental thing is they rp having no memory of any events of the kill. Some may dissolve all rp family connections, companionships, etc whilst others may just erase the whole death scenario altogether. Meaning family relations, companionships and caste exist still.

On the other end of the spectrum, some will continue to play on that avatar but will go by a new rp name (thus ignoring the name tag that hovers above our heads), remain on the same sim but rp either a different caste or for those who wish to continue what the were doing; rp seeking entry/acceptance into their original role thus having to seek audience with the Head of that caste.

Does it make sense? *laughs*

, well first of all I hadnt seen the actual rp of the assasination so didnt know about the stab in the neck , but after reading it I have to say amazing rp to Xaz and Flame , now when I was approached about this I was like wooohaaa how can I bring the dead back and so on , but after a lil chat we decided how to play it out and I actually enjoyed it even though I was nervous as hell , it was one of those freak things lol ....but most of all I think all parties had a great time doing it and fun and thats what this is all about , again thanks to all for this opportunity of rp .....

Flame has lost months of her life prior to the attack, due to the trauma. She doesn't remember many of the people she met, her conversations, her secret meetings, having hidden the Treve treasury right before the robbery, etc.

She doesn't remember having told Xaz about her daughter - her lovely known sister, Maria of Minus. She won't remember being captured the couple of times, nor having been temporarily claimed and collared by Treve's BOW Commander.

The only clues, leading to three other people outside of Treve, are in her journal she has been keeping, which the tanner/furrier/dressmaker in Minus has retrieved for her from her room in her tower. Steffi swears she never read its contents; however, she is holding the partial secrets written in the journal.

What of the Merc from another city who tricked the naive Flame? What secret is she hiding about him and is she in danger with him or her own city for what she has done? Will it have an impact on her future or will the secret just disappear with her  memory?

What of the Scribe in Koroba who has been meeting with Flame? What is the real story to that?

Who is Maria's real father and does he know Flame is really Katie from Kassau and the mother of his now-grown daughter? What will he do when and if he finds out? Will Maria turn on Flame for having lied to her all these years?

Then there are those two warriors in Treve. One knows one of her secrets. Will he, indeed, go to the Ubar with the information?

Flame has spun herself, albeit naively in most cases, a horrible web for herself. And now, she looks over her back at, not only every stranger, but everyone she knows in Treve as well. Who hired the BC to kill her? Was it one of Treve's own citizens?

The once wild, free-spirited Flame is quiet now and much more reserved. She will try to piece her life back together. She will try to find a way to change the terror she lives with as she breathes each new breath.
