The following is a record of the events that took place at the FC Ceremony of Corthidian Belwraith & LadyTerraMoon Soulstar, on the night of June 12, 2010. It includes about one hour worth of roleplay.

[22:18] Mercy Riiser: Attention all- we will begin the ceremony of establishing the Free Companion contract between the Free Man known as Corthidian Belwraith of the Caste of Red

[22:19] Mercy Riiser: "As you all know, in years past, a Free Companionship ceremony was simply the sharing of wine."
[22:20] Mercy Riiser: "In recent years with the growing complexity of issues in our world and our cities..."

[22:20] Mercy Riiser: "....contracts have become essential and they are signed during this time."
[22:20] Mercy Riiser: "For some Free, the contract is a business arrangment between families... and this ceremony marks the signing of a contract for that purpose."

[22:21] Mercy Riiser: "For others, this ceremony is also a profession of deep feelings and committment and love.
[22:21] Arianwen Mercy: reaches up and taks her veil off to better see the arrangment.

[22:22] Mercy Riiser: "Very well. It clearly states that there will be no bride price nor dowry, and makes provisions for children, death and the breaking of the contract.

[22:28] Mercy Riiser: "This copy bears my seal, it is the only legal version of this document.
[22:28] LadyTerraMoon Soulstar nods in understanding.
[22:29] Corthidian Belwraith: *nods to Mercy*
[22:30] Mercy Riiser hands the sealed document to Corthidian
[22:30] Mercy Riiser: "And now let us continue..."
[22:30] Corthidian Belwraith: *takes the contract, and places it in a sealed tube, and slides it into his belt*
[22:31] Mercy Riiser: "Relationships between Free Men and Free Women can sometimes begin with the fire of attraction. With others it is a flame that grows over time."

[22:31] Corthidian Belwraith: *kinda chuckles with Mercy's words but pays attention*
[22:31] Mercy Riiser: "Ideally this fire continues to burn without going out and becomes the steady fire of love and committment."

[22:34] Mercy Riiser reaches for the leather strand and binds them together starting between the thumb and forefinger to some length down their arms.
[22:34] Mercy Riiser: "I now bind your wrists together to symbolize the unity of this contract."
[22:34] Mercy Riiser: "You will now each speak to the other of your vow and affirmation to each other and to those present as witness."
[22:35] Mercy Riiser: "Corthidian....you first."
[22:35] DesTinyMoon Soulstar: tears up with joy as she listens and watches her sister and Corth...
[22:37] Mercy Riiser looks at Corthidian....and wiggles his eyebrows
[22:38] Mercy Riiser: ...encouraging him to say his vow
[22:38] Corthidian Belwraith: Terra.. the winds of change blew swiftly .. in your eyes..I saw a friend to begin with.. then, as the storms that blow fast across the thassa.. it was upon us.. [22:40] LadyTerraMoon Soulstar stares into the eyes of her lover, smiling warmly as she attempts to keep from crying with joy so that she may speak. "Corthidian, my friend, my love. When my sister first asked that I meet you, I was surprised, as I had never even heard your name. Yet it only took you one night to creep into my heart and make it your home. I am proud to stand here with you today, as I know I will be proud to stand at your side each day hereafter. As your companion I promise to love, honor, and respect you, your name, and your property. I will do my best to live up to the title of the free companion. I promise to honor the rules of your house, the codes of your caste, and the love in your heart. [22:42] roselenna Rishmal smiles softly as she retrieves the bottle, pulling the cork as a small hisss slips from the neck, a small sigh escapes from between her lips, remembering another time, she begins to fill each goblet with liquid, love and aroma, then lifts each up to such Handsomeness and to such Beauty, extending each fully towards Them
[22:43] Mercy Riiser: "Corthidian.....Lady Terra.....take this goblet of kalana wine.......and share a taste of it together as part of the consumation of the Companionship"
