It is my goal as magistrate of Treve to try each case in its individual uniqueness with the power invested in me from the chief scribe and the Ubarate.  The power of the magistrate is such that their judgement on each case stands as the civil and criminal law based on their knowledge and an impartial, fair implication of gorean laws as they understand them.

With this understanding, I must then withdraw the civil and criminal laws that I submitted to the Treve Tribune and to the city because they were an attempt to legislate a series of laws to further make it impartial without consideration to individual case study.  The Ubarate and the chief scribe trust the magistrates they impart with these powers to uphold the highest traditions of gorean law and honor without having to write out a lengthy code for anyone else to read or apply.  I will act under those provisions.
