What kind of roles in roleplay would you never do and why?
Give some of your thoughts to other players about different roles and your personal view of why you wouldn't do that role yourself.

I guess mine would be playing a slave , no offence to any one that does , but my persona is head strong and I just dont think I could get over the fact of being ruled, told when I could do something and when I couldnt , that haveing to ask someone if its alright to do this or that, other then that I cant think of another one

Which is probably why any attempt at roleplaying a slave girl has never lasted very long. Heh.

I am open to most directions however the following I just cannot see playing:

Women (free or slave) - Well, I have to be true to what I am and would not be able to pull off RPing out the female psyche.  I know many are able to RP out the opposite sex very well but I am just not that good and few enough men in SL Gor as it is.

Kurii - Interesting role and lot of potential, but it is imo a limited role in its interaction beyond killing and eating people.  Perhaps as a short-term adversary to provide a story hook, but I would not be interested in a long term character.

Outlaw (pew-pew style) - Bit of a generalization because I do know many good Gorean RPers in these places, but the general feel and attitude do not appeal to me.  Been there, done that and no thanks.  I just butt heads with too many people and get bitched out OOC for playing my character's personality.

I've played just about every Role because I have a few alts,  as many others do.  I play mine one at a time..  Some longer than others.   Usally until their story burns out.

Playing a variety of roles gives you a lot of perspective of the experiences of others and found that it has given me an inside perspective of what drives people in their roles and in a lot of cases,  what drives them OOC'ly.

I've played mostly Men,  since I am one and the RP flows easier.  However I've played women and noticed that the challenge is really interesting.

Have I played the role of a female slave?  I sure have and found that one of the most challenging roles to play.  It is also one of the most lonely roles you can play too considering there are 42,000 of them in SL Gor.  You start seeing the competition for attention and it becomes quite amusing.  The desperation for any interaction and then the wounded puppy bit follows->  Finally frustration then conversion to Panther.  Very common pattern...
If them men aren't going to pay any attention to me-  I'm gonna shoot them and Fap to the Moons of Gor damnit!  LOL. 
Men are evil and bad because they ignore me... and because they dont want to collar me.   Of course that was all OOC driven, which is why I found so much amusement in it.

You may have played with me as a Freewoman, A Slave, The honorable Warrior, Outlaw, Black Caste (Not an easy Role either if it's played the way it should be)... add Low caste worker, Ubar, High Jarl, Magistrate...  Add Scribe and Physician while you are at it.

                             I..  have been...  Everywhere,  I have been... Everything.

A magistrate: yeah its like Judas said, all of a sudden every one in the city becomes all knowing on laws of Gor. Magistrate's I think are the most under appreicated *sp?* role in Gor. Same for Scribes. We should have a Honor Your City Scribe Day and really shows these folks what there true worth is!

slave cant do it ... i tried once not as tiger. She lasted two weeks, he was nice a pasha.Then one on his chain was evil when he said he loved us (his first girl and me) the same she freaked and made his life a liviing hell. I opted out to prevent drama anyway... I am me I like one man and i wil take care of him. Everyone else can have the rest of the men on sl. I like to be bratty and i like being friends with the slaves I respect them for their role and the way  they work hard. I just do not wish to be one.

I have to agree with Xaz here as my last companion the lovely Akasha I saw how much hard work she put in to the city and a lot of people do not see the work they do as most the time they are stood in the room or libray doing notecards and keeping tabs on all of us warriors and others and I amsure they would rather be out with others doing some fun role play.

So I say and go along with Xaz lets have a scribes day but there is a down side to doing that. They will have to work twice as hard to catch up what they missed on the day off lol

    Laughs" Ok the confession of a madwomen.. I would love to be a man in gor.. and I was in a mans ave once.. the out come was not pretty.. I don't have it in me..to rp it or pull it off, the rp was something like " tal brother." as he sits sofly to the cushion. finding a comfortabl postion" the rp moves on , not flowing well at all..by the end of it.."     Ok not quite that bad but very close..But in being kajira. you have to have the heart of a worrior. the soul of a slave. as our lot in life is not easy. We are strong women..we back up our masters and mistress and all frees.. and the many faces we have to deal with as kajira is a perfect roll... well for me any way,


   So could not cross gender, if only for the freedom a man has in gor , (not sex) the thrill of a raid. all would be exciting, but.. that is one role I can't or won't ever take on.. the skills are not in me.. nor the passion for the part. Nor a FW.. tho the rp is a challange.. not sure how i would act I came to gor shy.. but . " dies lauging" I "d hate takin five hours trying to put on robes and skirts veils and the likes..

   So this one. is kajira,, but as I learn of other roles she urts , pesants. Panthers. ect, who know what gor will hold. the option are endless.. "an urt?" chuckles. ,,n.. shurgs.

For some reason, the thought of playing a panther woman does nothing for me.  I think its because I lack those certain traits that you would need to be successful in that role.  I'm not very aggressive, and I like my creature comforts.  If I were to play a panther... i'd be swatting mosquitoes all the time, screaming if I saw any bugs larger than a ladybug, and wouldn't be able to sleep for all the night noises of the forest.  In regards to weapons and fighting...  I carry a dagger, and can use it... but am more likely to turn and run!

I also do not think I could play a man.... I'd probably give myself away within the first ihn or so.  The role of Mulan in the animated movie of the same name comes to mind...
