Update your reading material to Prize of Gor, one of the newer books-when the originals were written it was still a decade where soft porn in books was a big no no, nowdays you'll get your literary sex scenes written out in full and detailed ( as any woman who buys romantic novels knows)

Actually I don't think the technology would have even existed in a Gorean environment.  While terribly common in our world. a small motor similar to a Vibrators would not be commonplace on Gor.

The difference is what is culturally accepted.  we as a society would not Generally like to witness a female in rags being dragged down the street by a rope around her neck, and whipped with a piece of braided leather.  However in Gorean culture if is common and often expected.  A woman with a dildo used to satisfy her would be seen as one who was so desperate to release her sexual desires that she would screw ANYTHING... even a rock or a tree branch.  Where as the use of a slave, a normal everyday occurrence, would be expected, after all what else are they for?   They serve the needs of the free, whether that need is digging silver in the mines of Tharna, or scratching the proverbial itch that can't be scratched.
