[10:46]  Adoveea Rau idly puts one long cloth finger on the kettle "are you assuming I need to have this in front of me, like some counter or that it will save you steps from fetching it? tell me why you bought a kettle to me now"

[10:17]  Low Enyo places the cup down and gets a footed bowl from the top shelf
[10:17]  Adoveea Rau leans back her gloved fingers laced together, "there are only three things in this house of food and drink, fresh bread, SUL paga, and blackwine"

[10:18]  Low Enyo rinses it thoroughly moving quickly
[10:18]  Low Enyo runs to the fire and ladels the blackwine brewing there in a large pot into the bowl
[10:19]  Low Enyo runs quietly to the Mistress careful not to spill a drop
[10:19]  Low Enyo carefully set the bowl before the powerful woman head down
[10:19]  Low Enyo: "For Mistressess pleasure"
[10:20]  Low Enyo keeps his head low hands at his side
[10:22]  Adoveea Rau looks at the black wine set in front of her with cold grey eyes and puts out a finger and pushes it a bit more away from her

[10:24]  Adoveea Rau leans on the table her cold judgmental eyes like a tarn watching the tabuk before stares at his preparations, her arm goes and rests upon the table and she snaps "stop there"

[10:25]  Adoveea Rau: what are you doing slave? insinuating my house is so inferior and inept that the bowls are dirty and ruined?

[10:26]  Adoveea Rau: part of the duties of a slave are to make sure such supplies are spotless and well cared for, are you attempting also to tell me with your inspection of that bowl that other slaves failed in their duties as well?

[10:27]  Low Enyo takes down the first bowl and inspects it seeing it is fine puts it to the side
[10:28]  Low Enyo: Takes down the second bowl and looks it over assessing the rim and the bowl carefully seeing it is also fine puts it to the side.
[10:29]  Low Enyo reaches the third bowl looking it over thoroughly making sure there are no small nicks, seeing it is fine puts it to the side of inspected bowls
[10:29]  Adoveea Rau leans her veiled chin on a gloved hand and says with a bit of asperity in her tone "if all the slaves were that slow, my arm would worn out or with muscles strong enough to push over a house with one slap, harta in that chore slave, no more lingering"
[10:30]  Low Enyo takes down the forth bowl from the second shelf and checks it for any imperfections, sees a small speck of dust and cleans it
[10:30]  Low Enyo quickly checks each bowl in turn inspecting them and quickly replacing them
[10:30]  Low Enyo: They are all fine Mistress.
[10:33]  Adoveea Rau nods expecting no less and says "continue now, preparing my black wine"
[10:34]  Low Enyo takes a footed bowl and runs to the fire
[10:34]  Low Enyo takes the ladle in the large pot of brewing blackwine and ladels in the hot liquid
[10:35]  Adoveea Rau clicks her tongue and then is silent then a small sound of like a warning snarl is hear slowly into the air with the deadly tone "slave."

[10:35]  Adoveea Rau: are you attempting to give me black wine that has been sitting in that pot for hours?
[10:36]  Low Enyo: Forgive me Mistress boy Is a simple slave.
[10:36]  Low Enyo: How would Mistress like me to prepare her blackwine?
[10:37]  Adoveea Rau: that is evident, and poorly trained as well, fresh black wine slave, it is a new day, and I have NO desire to drink the harsh dregs of the night before that has sat by that fire for hours

[10:38]  Low Enyo: Mistress has no desire to drink the dregs from the night before
[10:39]  Adoveea Rau: and what is a slave's duty then? to ask or to immediately solve that problem

[10:40]  Low Enyo gets a rag and picks up the large pot bringing the hot liquid to the sink pours it out and rinses the pot
[10:40]  Low Enyo pouring in fresh water he quickly sets it by the fire
[10:41]  Low Enyo running back to the servery boy takes out the black wine beans from under the sink
[10:41]  Low Enyo taking a mortar and pestle grinds the beans finely and quickly
[10:42]  Low Enyo runs back to the fire pouring in the beans
[10:42]  Low Enyo takes the ladle and washes it before using it to stir the mix
[10:43]  Low Enyo smells that the blackwine is ready and remembering a forgoten step gets a small kettle
[10:43]  Adoveea Rau hmms a bit seeing the preparations and settles back the length of the spine relaxing and settling as she shifts on her cushion with a more relaxed manner

I loved that rp Adoveea, and I have to say, even though I am sure the male slave at the first quarter was churning inside thinking "uh oh, I am bound to get whipped at the end of this", at the end I am sure he really enjoyed it and had thanks for your interractions, its great to rp like this with a slave, it's challenging and so much more intersting...

Lady Red thinks on hiring Lady Dove to sit in on the rp serve classes she holds and give the slaves a run for their money...

there are some very good reasons I won't own a slave..*points to the roleplay*

I take for granted too many things I expect out of slave, and most slaves cannot deal with my level of standards.
A few have managed to interact with me, and they have the stories *grins*.

And I'm way too busy with building tarns.

Aye I agree with Dove, and have recently sold my slaves for many reasons, IC because I simply do not have the time to teach them to have a brain, ooc because im tired of the player that logs on that day in gor to play a gorean slave and isnt actually there to do that. Too many slaves are focused on the RL aspects of what they "think" slavery is all about, referring more to the people that think that the bdsm aspect is so glamorous. Because of the fact that many players do not take the time to even read anything outside of isolated qoutes they do not know that a gorean slave is FAR from a RL submissive! And well there are also the couples that role the master and slave hence creating the "love slave" and the women looking for RL relations through gorean rp.  At any rate the true gorean slave player is becoming harder and harder to find.... Kind of like the TRUE panther role that is almost impossiable to find in RP. My Message for people that wish to play the gorean slave role.... Remember your role, and pay the respect to other players around you to role it for what it is and expect to be treated no better then how a gorean slave was treated .... Remember what a gorean slave means to the free and expect proper role play. Too many times I hear griping and complaining about how a free person "disrespected or raped" a slave... as if either are possiable in the mind set of gorean culture. Slaves are without rights, and ARE property, owned and disgaurded sold or killed at the desires of the free without the opinion of the slave.
All I can say is .... People that Role the gorean slave... REMEMBER it is YOU that Choose to be a slave and it is YOU that log in to the GAME called SL Gor... take the responsibilities that goes along with it, and ROLE!

There is a responsibility that goes along being any role not just slave. Sorry but a character is what one makes of it. You make your own fun. Now you are talking of another point here Brat that is not about intelligence you are talking of proper rp. And this is not just the role players who plays slaves responsibility but everyone's to make sure that slaves IC are treated properly, its also the Free's job. The Free need to also make sure they act according to their status while in rp.

As for the "lifestylers"..Its not just the people who play slaves that do it and its not just them who seek rl relationship, thats also to me both sided. I suppose rl is that of their own and it shouldnt be brought to rp. In rp its not unrealistic for a slave to be " love slave" it was in the books. However, I personally do not rp a love slave and know quite a few who dont.

As for intelligence I agree slaves were that and they were often involved in some important matters for the Free. The Free would actually consult them. They were also used for spying which shows how smart and trusted they were by the Free.
I also believe slaves were much more than simple working machines. Each had their own personality, they were each an individual and had feelings just like any other human being did.. Yeah even anger and hatered, hence I rp lina the way I do.

I have to agree with dana on this one a bit but yes a person who rp's a slave should know thier role and rp it. I have been in "gor" for some years and even for me it took awhile to really be able to capture my role properly. I have found a rl relationship( two in fact) from meeting them from sl. But I still retain my proper role and dont squinge when a free berates,whips, or beats me. I serve the free of gor with love men and women alike. I use my head when serving and dont rp the onlineisms at all. But to often I see free who let things "slide" for slaves or treat thier own slave like a princess while making other slaves toil properly to thier role. It sickens me how many times ive seen a "free" bring thier own slave to a tavern and allow them to sit while expecting one that is not thiers to serve. I of course IC dont mind as it gives me the chance to piss her off with excellent rp and flirting with her owner. I do so love it when I get an IM from a girl yelling at me to stop trying to get her owner to collar me.....make me giggle! So yes it takes both the free and the slaves to keep the proper rp....as it takes both a slave and free to make sure the free keep to thier proper role. Mistress dove is an excellent rp'r and I would love the challenge to serve her once!

Just don't let me catch you in a bakery with sticky fingers and crumbs in your hair and on your mouth. I'm not always that great a roleplayer but there are games I bring out my A game.

Once,  two slaves were roleplaying together in the bakery, sneaking pastries, and ducked when they saw me and another FW. We sat down and  I summoned the slaves to serve. I looked over the slave, had her slap her hands on the table, and saw a sticky residue of honey of her handprint. I ordered a huge plate of pastries and large bowl of milk.
 When she brought them I informed the slave she was to eat a pastry, drink the milk, run to the fountain and back, then do it again over and over.
Ever run after drinking milk and gobbling down a full pastry?
When she threw up, I asked her if she was the only one that did steal from the baker. Great interactions between the two slaves, and confession was made. They both ended up doing eat pastry, drink milk, run until the THREE full platters of pastry were gone, and had to clean up the vomit they did too. People were gathered seeing this going on. *laughs* we had quite a crowd.
I can't roleplay like that every day, but it was amusing to get the IM afterward of "That was soooo amazing, we were just doing that roleplay- we didn't even expect anyone to care or notice."

  I so enjoy the creativeity , simple or complex that goes into the rp's I read here, I don't get into the city as offen as I like, so reading the forum. helps me and gives me great pleasure. and a laugh or two..thank you for share, fun read both of you.
