thats some pretty awesome information there Cullin well done.....   as far as marriages.... well all we can do is base it on the i think one line where it talked about svein bluetooths companion.... and then of course more talk later in other books about companionships the reson for them... the contracts and poitns of honor when it comes to free women and free men... so simply claiming someone as we said before still would be a slap in the face to that persons family and home... and show the person doing said "claiming" had no honor.....     i wish it was the fact that the claiming meant yes this is my companion and i calimed her by bride price.... but then again ive never seen anyone use it in that term within gor though Im sure someone had good rp and did such at some point somwhere
