As Venna has relocated to the south end of Treve woods, we thought it would be good to define the theme of the city.  Much  like Treve, Venna has a special theme that is important to consider during rp.

The low down..... Venna is a resort city about 200 pasangs north of Ar that actually is quite near Minus on the map.  The city is small but luxurious as it's a vacation spot primarily for the wealthy of Ar, atleast in the books.   Venna's economy is about tourism, we don't raid, we don't  produce anything, we rely on rich people coming here and spending their coin to bask in the lap of luxury.  Although we've allied with the south on the war against  the north, Venna doesn't usually declare war as it would be bad for business.  Our gates are open to all who have the ability to pay our  exhorbitant prices ;-) We do have a red caste to protect the citizens and guests from anyone who would wish to rape or pillage the  city.  Because the sim is new our warrior base is small so we will be contracting Trevian mercs to help protect the city in the event of a  raid.  We will be using a prim coin with the same values as the Treve coin for continuity.  Since there were only a few cities that produced  coin, the most logical one for Venna is the Ar coin.  Venna was known in the books for its baths and tharlarion races so we have those  both in Venna as well as some gambling in the future.   Something else to note is that our merchants in theory are selling high quality items  that would be of appeal to the wealthy patrons vacationing here in Venna.

RULES AND LAWS OF VENNA ~ These we based on the rules and laws of Treve but there are some differences for example, free  women are NOT allowed in the tavern in Venna, even with an escort, there is just too much debauchery there, and slaves are not allowed  to use weapons in Venna, even during a raid.

VENNIANS & TREVIANS ~ The citizens and slaves of Venna will not be scampering up the path to Treve, if they do.....shoot em.  IC  we don't know where your city is though we obviously know it to be nearby.  As tourism is our business, we will be friendly and  welcoming, but don't forget that we do not consider ourselves beneath you, we are not the peasants of Minus that Carter loves to  torment.  We are citizens of a high caste affluent city nearby.  ** Something to consider........Drawing attention to yourself as a Trevian in  a city where there are potentially wealthy high caste citizens from cities you have raided would not be wise in reality**  That said, we do  welcome unescorted freewomen to vacation in Venna and give them the same rights as those from our homestone while here as our  guests though they are held to the same rules and laws in terms of conduct and attire.

If you're not sure how your role would realistically interact with Venna, please read below for guidlines.

HIGH CASTE FM:  Vacation in Venna, there are rooms in the tavern to stay in if you're just with your slave, rooms at the Inn if you're  with your companion.  Indulge in the baths and pleasure garden, lounge around the city, shop, chase pretty slaves, race tharlarions or  watch them.....yes, the city is pretty much your oyster so long as you don't break the laws.

HIGH CASTE FW: Come Vacation, watch the races, indulge in the baths, frolic in the FW pleasure gardens with your kajirus, shop, yes  you can even ride the tharlarions around the track when it's not race time.  Though you can get away with pretty much anything in the  pleasure garden, you must behave like a high caste FW when in public and be veiled and modestly attired, or risk punishment.

LOW CASTE FM & FW:
Though you wouldn't be able to afford to vacation in Venna, you might come looking to sell things to our merchants, look for work in the  tavern, inn or with the city perhaps on a contract basis.

SLAVES:  Slaves don't vacation obviously so coming to frolic and lounge around Venna would be silly.  We fully expect to find lina  hiding in the bakery or candy shop, but in general slaves wouldn't just wander into Venna, rp having a reason to cross the dangerous  Treve woods alone to get to the city.  If you make it to the city, don't forget, you're a slave so you're expected to serve, just like any Vennian slave that shows up in Minus for whatever reason.

Let me throw an idea into the pot, as Venna is connected to Treve woods, i assume it is now possible to walk or ride to venna, wouldnt it be good for people not to just tp there but to actually make the journey as people going on holiday would carry lots of gold might attract  bandits,, con artists, all kinds of people if we travelled across the sims?

Unless the move hasn't caught up on the map yet, I believe it's an IC relocation. Not SL geographic Move

Hmmm, I thought just the opposite, that the sim is now attached to the Treve sim complex, as in if you pull up the viewer map, you will see it connected.

Usually takes LL about 2 days to update the maps.. sort of like waiting for the passing of a satellite to take a google earth picture  Grin

But yeah..its all attached with work still be done on the Treve Woods outpost..

I will miss my strolls through the woods from Teslit to have a paga in Minus...or a flight on my tarn to taste a flight of meads.   Be well my friends and thank the PK's for fast boats that will enable me to still do this!
