Well, lets get something right here, Wyn didn't say anything negative to anyone, not in our group chat, not in a public forums, not sending NC's out. Anything that I have said here is what I personally saw, or have my opinions about. I am not a sim owner, therefore I have the luxury of posting what I think and feel. You, on the other hand, lead a sim, so when you post on a PUBLIC forum NC that you have sent and received, that shows to me a level of disrespect that I believe over shoots any that I have, by ten fold.  Wyn could have accepted your apology and been fine with it, as a individual, I don't need to do the same thing she has done, nor do I know exactly how she feels about what has happened. Calling me disrespectful for having a voice just shows what cards your going to play.

Maybe I will agree though, I don't respect the fact that the people who against better judgment, decided to allow you to continue your rp war on our soil, got walked all over. I guess that does make me disrespectful.

As for the spy RP. He could have done a great job, I wouldn't know, when I tried to RP with him he turned his back on me and walked away. Whatever he did do, Wyn took it into consideration, and that was the reason why Treve was allowed to come to Ironhall and fight. I never said that his RP sucked or no one liked it, just that it bit us all on the ass, because he is now the person saying that the raid ratio was fine.

As for me "Adding to confusion" this is the first time I spoke on the topic. I kept quiet, until it got this ridiculous. Before that, I said nothing to people other than my FC, and my good friend. Its pretty sad when you just need to start making stuff up.

This is the last I am commenting here. If you wish to contact me for this back and forth Carter, you can do so in game, but really, I think it just shows poor judgment in posting something on a forum as a sim leader.

This is the last I am commenting here. If you wish to contact me for this back and forth Carter, you can do so in game, but really, I think it just shows poor judgment in posting something on a forum as a sim leader.

i will say this again.. this section is OUR communities forum. Our main vehicle and medium to communicate on all issues to do with the running and administration of the sim. You will see many sections from other Gorean Sims, which have nothing to do with me and I would rarely comment in their sections.

I wish we could block this section from outsiders, however, sometimes outsiders can and do make valuable contributions to our debates and dicussions.. so I have to live with the fact that outsiders will stick their noses into something that has nothing to do with them..

However,  I also have nothing to hide and when I or my fellow council members have made a mistake.. we will apologise and seek to remedy the situation as we sought to do with the incident on the last raid.. which "some".. and it is a tiny minority, have decided to take as a form of insult, however.. for every 1 negative comment, I have received 5 which have said..things like ..  Well done, nice to see somebody admit to their mistakes and do something about it"

Now I shall try to end this with a series of questions to those outsiders who wish to comment

1. Why was the rule broken about attackers versus defenders ?
2. Why did nobody raise concerns about raids against the northerm sims ?
3. Who brought in mercenaries and flying torvies from the south of the sim.. that nobody seems to have known about ?
4. Why did outside moderators feel they can come to somebody else's sim and try to moderate without even the courtesy of asking ?
5. Why if people felt so strongly about an issue, why didn't they come to me to talk or the other members of Treve to seek resolution. ?

Just some simple questions which nobody has yet answered..

.. try to answer those questions without resorting to personally abusive statements or innaccurate and misleading comments

Whats the problem with flying Torvies? Haakon of Skjern was Rasks greatest enemy, and tarnsman.

Forum ate my post Sad

Not that it was a long one but:

I had people who were inside the town of Ironhall telling me the following numbers in both occassions, right before I TPed in to Ironhall myself:

"~17 people on sim, ~8 of which are men"
I even copy-pasted this reply of them to our Treve Warrior Channel.

There already were 4 men on the hills around the docks already when we launched the attack. One of them admittedly was AFK and another one (someone on my friendslist) must've disappeared halfway the battle, cause I saw him shoot me, but didn't see him anymore when we were rounding up captives. So I'm not sure what so drastically could've changed Ironhall's numbers of defenders halfway the battle.

So you must understand that I'm very confused about the matter. I'd rather have been told right away that our numbers were too high than having to find it out in this manner afterwards, if such a thing was true. I asked Branwyn many times if everything was in order, and I did alot of effort to make sure their sim rules would be followed and that all would be orderly organized.

I want to point out some good RP raid ethics that I've seen in this North South War.

Firstly, Carter's letter and Ais's post show alot of class. You can go to school, but you can't buy class. Clap Clap.

Net-Net, sim rules need to be respected and not grieved on. Treve have broken them unintentionally in Tyrs raid with the Treve weapons. And North raiders broke it unintentionally in the raid in Treve with numbers.

People make mistakes.

Now, if discussion with mods about if a particular rule can be relaxed on to allow RP, fine, discussion in IMs with the mods, etc.

Some examples recently:

- Tyrs mods let it pass the first time when Treve raided with weapons not on the approved weapons list to allow RP to continue. This is a good example of how, post raid, a rule was broken and mods allowed for the raid to continue as valid even though they lost the battle. Qudos!

- Treve allowed for a raid by 12 Torvies on 8 Trevans ( their leader contacted our Mods to seek request for numbers ) and I am 100% sure that IF Treve lost that one, it would have been valid cos our Mod approved it before the raid took place. Also when the Alars came to rescue the captured Torvies from that same raid mentioend, it was before the ruled timing allowed, but their leader contacted our Mod for request and our Mod approved it. Also again, the raiding numbers were higher then defenders, as opposed to the rules, and if we lost that, I am 100% sure it would have been allowed.

- When Treve raided Tyrs a few days ago, there was a check on the raid ratios with mods before the raid, the numbers were cleared, we had one more and that one stayed on the docks while the raid proceeded with the correct ratio without a hitch.

- When Treve raided Axe Fjord on the same day, raid was even delayed while raiders communicated with Axe Mods to allow for more defenders to arrive before the raid took place. Once mod from Axe gave the clear, the raid proceeded.

Communication with mods is important before a raid happens and a little give and take here and there between mods is subjective to what the mods decide. But, rules are rules and shouldn't be grieved on.

I have to say Anarch did put a lot of effort into making his raid Valid in everyway that he could , he talked to Bane and Brwyen , he went there and did a lot of work and I DO not and WILL not believe that he did not go by the IronHall's Sim rules, These guys put a lot of work IC wise into everything that they do, I know first hand. So because someone reaches out of their Ass with some falsehoods because they cant get the glory or because their nut was stepped on doesnt make any sense, this is turning for the others as a he say , she say they say bunch of hogwash. And I still say that through all of this that We do see who the adults are

I was there with Tyres Fist raid and the Tervians contacted your mods.. made sure of the numbers and played properly... It was 100% valid by your rules, your wishes.... your mods. I was there and saw it and saw what our Warriors did and how Ace stood a while to speak to your mods before the raid even started.. now thats good ethics to me and would appear that Treve works hard to rp by rules. The raids were planned long before and those Warriors work their butts off to plan it IC and OOC.

Oh I was there cuz lina was kidnapped in the north, not fighting or anything!

thank you for the recent comments folks clarifying the raids you led.

regarding the note from Aphris.. all the sims from the north expressly forbid Tarns..too cold or something or lag or something, or they just dont like tarns. So keeping IC and the theme, seems a little strange they can all jump on them and fight as tarnsmen when they come south for a suntan. Perhaps they keep them in the longhouse all warm and cosy.. who knows  Wink

However I suspect the guys shooting at people from tarns and in the lower sim known as Treve Woods, did not come as part of the main group, there inclusion is still a mystery and I suspect why the perception of attackers to defenders is an issue. Somebody brought in outsiders and didnt tell the organisers.. that my suspicion.

Now will somebody venture a go at my questions ?

As it was said in another thread that was locked by me a minute ago. All views have been written, it seems there is nothing that ends the circle and before it gets even more emotional I will close this thread know.

Thank you all in advance for your understanding*smiles
