RE: The thread in Treve's forums about Ironhall's withdrawal from RP.

To whom it may concern,

It has become blatantly obvious that the parties involved in the current state of the North-South War (parties being defined as Treve and the Torvaldslanders of various locations) have reached an impass.  Instead of addressing the issues with solutions, members of both parties have opted to discount the other's credibility, even going so far as to make point-by-point excuses for the actions for which they stand accused.  It all boils down to this issue getting nowhere fast.  Due to these continuing verbal battles, I have decided to call an end to Tyr's Fist Stronghold's involvement in it as well.  Please know that this was being considered even before Ironhall issued its withdrawal.  Bane just beat us to the punch while I deliberated with our moderators.

Regards,

Rayzor

What is blatantly obvious is that you refuse to take responsibility for mistakes on your side and only want to whine and cry victimhood. We have tried to act responsibly but it is impossible when you continue to act like spoiled children.

Think what you want.  No hair off my chin.

Enough is Enough! The long post that Ais made should of been enough, I have stayed out of the politics because I felt it was the place of the Admins and moderators to deal with on each sim. To many cooks in the kitchen tends to make a mess... but this has gone far enough. We are all supposed to be adults, all supposed to be playing with a level head and the ability to behave like adults. I full understand that at times tempers get raised and words are had, we all have those moments including myself. But when someone APOLOGIES for his mistakes they are meant to be forgiven (not pulled apart and studied) and frankly I hold the utmost respect for the moderators of Tyr's and the other sims but when it comes to a decision I do not agree on that affects MY role play then it becomes a problem. You have pulled your respect sims from role play with no thought to the players who have put time and effort into the rp between the north and the south. So my say on it... If you PERSONALLY don't want to play then step out, but don't punish us all because admins and mods cannot get along.

Cullin, to clarify, you can still RP with Trevians.  We're just not going to accept raids from them anymore.  Individuals from Treve may still come here to RP.

Then why not say that? Why not talk with Treve and say "Listen, until we get the raid issues worked out why don't we make this an rp only war..." There is so much you can do in rp to prepare for a war, but stating it in the way you did does indeed sound like you are cutting ALL ties not just those that involve meter combat.

Due to these continuing verbal battles, I have decided to call an end to Tyr's Fist Stronghold's involvement in it as well.  Please know that this was being considered even before Ironhall issued its withdrawal.  Bane just beat us to the punch while I deliberated with our moderators.

This does indeed sound like you are pulling out COMPLETELY just as Ironhall did, basically putting an end to any rp we do regarding the war. There were so many more ways to fix this rather than calling an end to it, many that could of salvaged the planning and time all have put into this rp. As they say Rome was not built in a day... there are no quick fixes in life.

thank you cullin..

just so you know.. given what has happened.. we have discussed the mood of people and this unfortunate situation.. and  shall be telling our warriors to back off. The theme had a good run,  but it shouldnt affect individual role play and certainly shouldnt affect OOC friendships or themes of personal RP between people.

whatever you have going.. good luck and enjoy it

I have to say, my respect for Cullin and Ais grows everyday and I'm saddened that it has been decided for them and others that the rp is cut off like that, especially that so many enjoyed the war. More sad that people seem so busy reviewing the one sim that did apologize for mistakes, yet when others did, not one stepped forward and did so. And still, after the apology they come out with this. Still...... I'm so confused.

Many people have enjoyed this war...... just sad... disappointing. Oh well, life goes on.. Treve is my home and I'll support whatever decisions thats made, knowing that they have so far been very reasonable.

I do have to agree with you Dina , I still do not see what the problem is ,, its ROLEPLAY and roleplay only but yet some tend to forget that and at the end of the day or night which ever the case maybe the computer goes off , our characters are in SL limbo , Now if they are playing while we are off line will somebody needs to be checking something. This is a great Rp and it does involve other sims and other people that would other wise not be able to ever meet, and all this is stopping that, we are not gods and should not have the right to stop others enjoyment of what they like to do. really it sounds like there is a personal vendetta againest Treve for some reason, why ? does it really matter yes when it stops others from enjoying a pretty good story line. I would like to vist Tyr's Fist but you can make dang sure I would do so with an escort. might be Snappy in her ways but not dumb. And even through all of this Carter was the bigger man in more ways then one, he gains more of my respect IC and OOC

Just to clarify, I am not saying either side is 100% right or wrong... mistakes are made by all. What I am saying is that we need to act as adults when dealing with them and remember there is three parts to a story: His side, Her side, and somewhere in the middle is the truth. People perceive things differently based on where you live, how you were raised, influences in your life... something that may not offend me could offend the guy next to me, accepting and understanding another persons point of view even if you do not agree with it is the first step to getting past conflict.
