It was not long after raiders had left the poor Village of Minus before trouble struck again, for what reason is still hazy for this reporter. However seems the Physician Keya once again was in trouble, a man was standing behind her with his dagger pressed against her throat, while he asked for an apology for being arrogant, which the Lady of cause denied to give.
The more the Lady kept opening her mouth the more did the man’s temper raise, as if she was immortal she just went on while the man barked at her and the free about.
To some it may have seemed as the Captain Mord did nothing to help the Apprentice Physician, however the very fact he did not attack the man may have saved the young woman’s life, he spoke to the man calmly though the women around them were loud and angry. More than once did the others tell Lady Keya to just apologize to the stranger; even if she didnt mean it it would then at least save her Own life, yet she again denied.
As the stranger saw he got nowhere with the foolish woman, he looked to the Captain and demanded candy for his trouble. Well it was early morning and the Captain had just started his first cup of black wine. He gladly agreed to this, the slave nearby was ordered to fetch it. The other two free women, one the Scribe of Minus. were not very patient and both went to get something from the candy shop. Offered it to the stranger, whom after a while accepted the candy just before he pushed the Physician to the ground.
The man ran to the boat, the Captain finished his coffee while just shaking his head; was it of the stranger or the Physician?? Whoever it may have been the Apprentice Physician had to pay up, she left the Village in anger just after with the salute 'I will go stay with relatives'

Whatever will we do with the anxious Physician Emma, companion to the ever skillful Alex of Treve? Seems not only have her urts proven to run amok and take over half of the city square, but sources tell me that she's dabbling in poison as well as of late.
Spotted: Exactly one warrior, with a bit of disfigurement on his left eye totting to and from the underground of Treve. What was or is this man up to? Seedy business, or simply business at hand? Some say he's simply got a slave buried beneath the city for pleasure, but I seem to think it's likely a woman of high caste, certainly not of Treve.
Sorted: It seems the lady Katia is indeed not with child for the handsome captain Malcomb..at least not yet, she was spotted drinking far more than a sip from the goblet as the pair renewed their companionship this past hand. Perhaps a drinking problem, which seems to plague so many other Trevian women is at fault.
Seems Lina has found means to be back on her feet once more in Minus, however, circumstances don't bode well for the stock in her inn. After having been paid a rather large sum to provide the peasants with free drinks, it's been reported that she has squandered it away as might have been expected. Will the little-curvy-woman find herself in steel once more as she can't pay her debts, or will she be able to pull something out of the rather generous behind to save herself? Time will tell all.
Spotted: The Lady Payton in the infirmary once more. While it's confirmed by forced blood test that she is most certainly not pregnant, nor has a drinking problem, the mystery of her fainting spells has come to light once more. Ample theories abound, but I think the apparent illness has correlated to some rather interesting events. A stress-type reaction? Is she making this all up? My money's on a strange disease, yet to be discovered by the physicians of the city, but as they say, the simplest answer is usually the right one-watch out Treve for yet another child.

Smuggling Slave?

Shhhhhhhhhhh I heard this from a reliable source...it seems a certain temporary Innkeeper was recently questioned by a couple of Frees from Teslit. They had known her as a slave girl and wanted to know how she became a healer and Innkeeper. By all accounts they really laid into the eccentric innkeeper and put some tough questions to her, as if trying to trip her up. It seems they were of the belief that the former slave had funded her freedom, existence, and expanding waistline, through the profits of illegal smuggling!
In the end, the temporary Innkeeper, jumped up abruptly and fled the inn, to a more safer and quieter place, perhaps to ponder the questions as to be ready the next time they visit Minus.
Is there a smuggling ring going on in Minus? Shhhhhhhhhh, the visitors seem to think the Inn is a place to buy Blackwyne undercover. Well this humble reporter certainly cannot afford such luxuries, but one has to wonder how the former slave really did obtain her freedom.

Hearing the sound of a crying kajira, followed by whisperings and then... the sound of the jiggling of metal upon metal in a keyhole, the Lady Shef and a kajira, Cour, investigated a few doors down to find Orcus and Bella, heads together and whispering as he tried to discreetly open a door.... without a key.
Nothing worth noting you say? Well of course... if it were his door he was tampering with, but it was Carter's Door in Minus. Upon confrontation a whole series of excuses and reasonings were given, one saying that they were looking for him.... 'rollseyes. Later, Bella confessed over a casual drink in the Inn that she knew he was taken captive. So, fellow readers, I'll let you decide perhaps what lurks in the alleys of Minus. Its not just peasants...
