You've seen it probably in many many postings of roleplay, cue tossing. What is it? It's tossing a hint/action/emote to someone to react to, how your character sees the roleplay or wants to tell you how they feel and react to what you say or do.
It's the major floor of the building of roleplay.
The best way to start to do it, is pick up something the person said/did and put it into your own posting

Man : Tal Woman,I see you are looking well
Woman *turns hearing his voice* Oh Tal Man. I do not feel well, though, I ate some stew at the inn in minus.
Man:  That terrible stew at the inn? I heard that it is a plot from the physicians to increase the coin in their pouches by treating people who are sick from it.

Now you're cue tossing Each person is throwing out cues to the other person on something to roleplay from .

Our game on this:
I will post a line, and the next poster (roleplayer) uses a phrase or line from it add some action/emote for the next poster (roleplayer) (see example above).

My staring post:
Sniffs the air and looks around and asks "does anyone smell anything, odd?"

Looks around, raises her veil and sniffs.  As she turns a bit green, she comments back to Dove... "seems that Rayzor guy must have come along and farted..."

Serene shakes her head to Ginger and sniffs the air " That doesnt smell of Jarl... its the cheap cologne of a southern Ubar... trust me, i know the difference" she nods knowingly....

he stands a bit away from the females hearing their words and his face goes down on them as he starts to sniff a bit.
It does smell a bit like a fart he notice and looks at the women.
women he says when you buysome vulo eggs dont let them in your bags for a couple of weeks

*shrugs* Must be my perfume, I knew that northern stuff was no good. I was told even bosks run away from it. Oh well, northerners and smelling good is no combination I say.

Ginger looks in the sack laying by the wall, and spies the discoloured eggs inside.  She grins and looks back over to Dove.... "got any more holes in your walls that need repairing?"

Blinks at the discolored eggs and gets a fiendish grin under her veils and tells Serene "no holes in the walls, but I know a certain candy maker who is always looking for exotic ingredients for his work, and those qualify as deadly ingredients for sure" and turns coughing a bit

Fails miserabley at controlling the gag reflex after moving closer, looking into the sack and inhaling the repulsive stench, and with her hand over her mouth flees behind the building quickly to reaquaint herself with her lunch, dropping a strange green glittering stone on the floor as she disappears.

...watches Serene rushing off to do something gross when she notices the stone that was dropped.  She slips over to it while nobody is watching and scoops it up quickly, admiring the green glittery shine to it.  This has to be a gem worth a lot of coin, she thinks.... wondering where she got it.  This lady bears watching.  Maybe I can spy on her, and follow her back to the source of this stone.

Then she looks over towards Dove in her glittery outfit and suddenly realizes that Serene probably just took a small knife and sliced off one of the jewels of that fabulous dress.  She laughs, wondering how long it will take Dove to notice.

(LOL Ginger, Maria did question Doves use of me as a model in the fashion show for that very reason.. well done haha)

Serene wipes her chin with a passing slaves silks and looks around, never having been in this areas before... hearing voices she tiptoes her way over to the warehouse window, laying her ear quietly to the wood, listening to the two people inside....

As he comes round the corner eating a big junk off bosk meat and playing with the change he got from his gold coin he does not see teh lady stooped down and trips over her meat and coins going in every direction

Serene quickly scoops up some of the coins whilst the greedy Warrior tries to save his joint of meat and shoves them in her pocket, standing quickly and smoothing down her dress... then puts her finger to her lips in the sound of silence, nodding her head to the warehouse and puts her ear back to the wood trying to hear the conversation....
