Anarch Allegiere: "When the third Warrior is here... we shall proceed and I'll explain the purpose of this ... hearing and trial."

Scribe 1 glances about, eyebrows lifting "What is all this about? ANd what third Warrior?"

Liara Edring lets out her breath slowly, her features pale as she looks down at her gloved hands. She blinks, glancing to the woman in red and blue as she speaks.

Caden Blackrain nodded his head slowl reaching out and taking Liara's hand in his. He nodded to Anarch and regarded him, then listened to Scribe1 and her comment knowing it was a Military court

Enigma Rainforest: stays silent simply looking between the Captain and Scribe1

Anarch Allegiere: "The Ubar ordered a swift military hearing to pass judgement on the fates of slaver Caden and physician Liara... This is mostly meant as a trial behind closed doors... We do not need the assistance of scribes in this, thank you though Lady... you may return to your quarters."

Isabella Bergiere strolls into the courtroom which was being presided over by a red and just rolls her eyes, taking a seat she spot the Scribe1 and in a clear sweet voice remarks, "Tal Lady xxxxx, the warriors have decided that the Magistrate with all his years of training is not fit to judge a case and the warriors are going to do so"

Scribe: Trial by which warriors?? I see one captain and a raw recruit.

Enigma Rainforest: grumbles

Anarch Allegiere: "This is not the place to air your griefances... I believe there are scrolls in the library you can fill out for this. The warriors are selected as neutral parties and as candidates for the Ubarate guard..."

scribe1: How is that a proper hearing - and who are you to tell me to return to my quarters?

Anarch Allegiere nods at the other warrior: "Ah the third judge has arrived... Let us begin this quickly..."

Anarch Allegiere: "Take a seat besides me Jerek... you're required to assist in the hearing."

Isabella Bergiere looks to the panel, "I have not met either of these warriors! Who are they to judge, what training have they had?"

scribe1: Now wait a minute - "Officers" require rank. I see :spins to see Keiran then back: Two raw recruits and a captain - how is that ranking officers?

Liara Edring squeezes Caden's hand lightly, biting her lip behind her veils as she watches the interaction between Scribe1 and Anarch. Her brows knit as she tries to see how this could be...she's never heard of a military tribunal before.

Enigma Rainforest: glares at Scribe1 through the slits in his helmet

Anarch Allegiere: "I was not demanded to have officers assist me... it was a possibility. Both men showed interest in becoming part of the Ubarate guards... the trial is now in session and I'll not accept disturbances... let the Warriors to their business."

Scribe1: If the Ubar requires a 'officers' hearing then he can be here to preside.

Scribe1:  Anarch Allegiere: "Trial has begun... I will not tolerate disturbances... Please leave, fill out the scrolls of grievances in the library if you wish to protest against anything happening here..."

Keiran Laasonen laughed softly as he was refered to as a 'raw recruit'. But did not respond otherwise to the woman. He gestured for Leyla to wait at the side and then moved to simply take his place.

Isabella Bergiere ignores Anarch and continues, "really I think to introduce a legal precedence without consulting the Chief Scribe is extremely bad form"

Enigma Rainforest: pulls off his helmet and sets it down by his feet

Scribe1's eyes flare at being summarily dismissed. "Must I remind you Sir, that I out... " looks to the Free woman1  "Tal xxx."

Caden Blackrain waited patiently for the proceedings to begin... He was silent until the words settled

Leyla Antiesse moved back and behind some benches, she glanced at the free woman in black and kept good distance from her, outside of the kicking range. She was curious about the legal proceedings.

Freewoman1  tipped her head to the side as she made her way down the steps. "Tal...", her lips twisted slightly as she took a moment to appraise whatever it was seeming to have happened, a moment, she had glanced to the Captain a hand lifted up gently, just a single finger poised into her lower lip as she took a step back

Anarch Allegiere: "If you women are not leaving the court ordered by the Ubar now you will be removed by force! This trial was ordered... do not make a mockery of OUR CASTE!" - He slammed his hand on the table and raised to his feet. "Blue escort these women out!"

Keiran Laasonen turned and looked at Anarch, and then down to the accused. Jerek washed his eyes over Caden and the woman and but simply remained silent for now.... even amidst the confrontation between female and Captain.

Liara Edring jumps as Anarch starts yelling and stomping about, as it were, blinking and watching with wide eyes, her hand tightening on Caden's, biting her lip again behind her veils.

Scribe1's eyes scan back and forth between Anarch and Freewoman1... "I make no mockery of you - and none of your caste - but this goes against ours. And if the Ubar ordered this, he would have not expected it handled as such."

Enigma Rainforest: sees the Captain stand and he rises with him looking between the women then back to the officer

Anarch Allegiere: "The trial is commencing now... and interruption will be considered a blemish upon the honor of our Caste. This is a matter of state security... Go fill out the scroll of grievance in the library if you have complaints as law demands instead of interrupting daily business. The military court has began now!"

Freewoman1 had taken a step forward, her hand curled around scribe1's ear, pulling back just a bit of her hood as she spoke to her in a mere whisper.

Scribe1's glance slides to freewoman1, listening, though she doesn't move a muscle yet.

Isabella Bergiere sneak along the back of the benches very quietly as she darts out the other side where she could watch and observe without being noticed
Isabella Bergiere lurks in the background, fully intending to note down every word for scribe1 should she be removed.

Scribe1 growls softly, eyes flashing at the insult to her own Caste. "I will watch this. And I will report to the Ubar myself."

Anarch Allegiere clears his throat before commencing: "Caste Brothers... Vellius and Jerrek you've been called to these halls by the Ubar's request to pass judgement over the two individuals sitting before us. This military trial has as purpose to safe-guard the security of Treve. We will complete this trial swiftly and with an efficient use of time. So ask to the point questions when required. Firstly as officer presiding this trial there will be questions asked by me. After this the two other Red Castes can assist in asking their own further questions... Warrior Velius and Warrior Jerrek."

Keiran Laasonen listened to the entire confrontation.... calm as usual. Jerek was unflapable typically.... and this was no exception. As anarch settled himself back into the seat and regained control of his own temper, his attention seemed to shift to Caden and the woman again, peering at them intently.

Enigma Rainforest: turns to the Captain hearing him speak then looks back to the pair seated

Anarch Allegiere continues: "After the initial hearing is over there will be a vote by the selected judges, specifically chosen for their neutrality in the matter... A voting on a set of questions prepared by me, which will determine the fate of the two accused, Slaver Caden and his Companion Liara... possible accused of respectively treason and espionage."

Arianwen Mercy: looks on sadly unsure of the outcome.  Walks up behind her master and watchs the men speak .

Enigma Rainforest: flashes a looks to the Captain hearing his words

Freewoman1 eyes widened as she looked to her sister, taking a few steps back, she had found herself resting against the wall once more, a hand dipping into the pouch at her side to pull out a page and small piece of parchment. She let out a faint sigh as her sister hadn't saw fit to leave. Her lips parted and quickly tucked back together as the Captain had seen fit to speak. Pursing then as she found her head shake back against the wall. She had scribbled out a few bits of the words spoken in short hand, by then forgetting what she had been about to offer.

Liara Edring swallows slowly, her brows knitting as she frowns behind her veils. She lets out her breath slowly and looks down at her hands, having a hard time believing anyone is neutral here. 'Twas a scarlet seemingly out for her blood, and now scarlets seek to judge her. She worries her lower lip between her teeth, trying to control her nerves, her free hand blessedly hidden in the folds of her skirts so no one can see it shaking.

Anarch Allegiere: "Let me give a brief description of the facts for you Velius and Jerrek. Liara stands accused for having been a captive made in Tarnwald, having been made captive in our city... she later in mysterious reasons got free ... then got brought back by Caden into the city, in which turn he companioned her to offer her protection. The possiblity still exists that Liara is operating for the benefit of Tarnwald... and that Caden, possibly might be assisting her in it."

Anarch Allegiere: "That are all the to the point facts and dangers we know about... Now... Slaver, Caden... will you reply to the following questions posed by me with honesty and honor, just as your blade was earlier today to protect our lands?"

Enigma Rainforest: nods and looks back to the pair studying their reactions to the acusations

Liara Edring shakes her head slightly at Anarch's words, pressing her lips together as she considers how off the telling is.

Caden Blackrain stayed placid listening to the words nodding his head slowly. Every word with order and method. He waited paiently, his eyes did not change at the words of accusation... it wasn't the first sword he knew driving the proceedings. He then nodded his head "I will reply" he stood from the bench

Isabella Bergiere realises that all was calm and she re-enters the courtroom with a grim smile upon her face.  She was in truth pretty incensed that Caden was being treated like this and she blatntly takes a seat behind Caden and Liara so that she can whisper words of advice to them.
As Anarch decribes the charges she whispers to Scribe1, "Already the evidence is being skewered - a magistrate would never use adjectives like 'mysterious"

Anarch Allegiere coughs before posing the first question: "Slaver, how did you and your new companion meet eachother?"

Freewoman1 would glance up from the page on which she wrote and lift a hand in Scribe1's direction, hopefully to be seen so that she might wave her close to her side.

Caden Blackrain simply answered "I met her in the Kennels when then now commander was beating and torturing her Captian."

Scribe1 had wondered who the woman was, not having seen her before, she listened intently, wondering how much was spin and how much was truth. Her eyes then traced to Caden as he rose, not knowing him all that well either. Noticing Freewoman1's movement and whispy's arrival, she puts a finger to her lips and moves closer

Liara Edring stiffens slighty, twisting her
fingers through her skirts at Caden's words.

Anarch Allegiere nods: "And after you saw a leading officer of the Warriors of our city had intentions to hold the woman captive, what fated you to decide and offer her your protection afterwards?"

Freewoman1  tapped the slave on the shoulder and had begun to point towards the door, only pausing midway to instead lean towards her sister. Her lips would part then to whisper a faint and soft few words in her ear.

Slave1 hurried along down the stairs, spotting freewoman1 first and then scribe1, she knelt quickly and stayed quiet. Lifting her gaze upward as she felt the tap...

Caden Blackrain looked to him "I left Liara to the Commander and his will. I did not interfere, My one offer of protection came only after I led the excape from Tarnwald, bringing her as a captive to Treve the second time"

Anarch Allegiere nods his head lightly and glances at the other two Warriors before posing the next question: "Thus ... you brought her back into the city as a Free Woman and you shared the companioning wine? Where and when did you share the wine?"

Liara Edring shakes her head slightly at Anarch's words, although she doesn't speak up, remaining silent. Still, it's clear she takes issue with something he's said.

Isabella Bergiere scrawls notes on her parchment, the first thing she noted as she whispers to herself is, "Who are these new warriors and what rights and training do they have to judge others. Have they even sworn on the homestone - are they even full citizens!"

Enigma Rainforest: folds his hands over his lap and lets out a deep breath as he watches the man with narrow eyes trying to pic up on anything that may seal his fate, body language, tone of voice, facial expressions

Scribe1 nods briefly to her whisper, turning her face to respond as softly in kind, then glancing about, careful to keep her tones too low for anyone to hear beside her sister.

Caden Blackrain shook his head "No captain, I did not share the wine of a companion with her when she was here as a captive her second time... "

Anarch Allegiere nods to adress Blue: "Someone is scribbling on paper awfully loud out there in the hallway... go tell him or her to stop it."

  Blue Smithson: aye Capt.

Anarch Allegiere frowns at Caden: "-When- did you share the companioning wine then? You claim she is companioned to you no? And are there any witnesses to the sharing of the wine?"

Freewoman1 smiled rather warmly in her sisters direction and crooked her leg up enough to create a suitable writing surface. She began to writee down a few of the key words, of what had been spoken which might have been of interest to the Ubar before she felt the soft kiss of her sisters voice in her own ear. A faint smile and just a bit of a dip of a nod offered in her direction. The tip of her tongue dragging along her teeth to hold what might have been a soft chuckle at bay.

Caden Blackrain: When I found her in the city two Ohn of this day. I knew she would be in Grave danger to the city... With the commander. He seems to have some vendetta against her life and freedom from what I have percieved.

Isabella Bergiere nods to Blue and scribbles much more quietly

Enigma Rainforest: clenches his fists and looks to Anarch

Anarch Allegiere nods: "Ofcourse... she was his captive. Next question: Do you have other contacts in Tarnwald? This is the last question for you Caden...after answering this Liara may rise and you may sit again."

Caden Blackrain looked at him curiously "No"

Caden Blackrain took a seat

Anarch Allegiere nods and gestured his hand non-chalantly for Liara to rise: "Physician, will you answer these questions truthfuly and honorable as if you were in fact a Trevan?"

Slave1 knelt quietly a few paces back and between the two women, from time to time she lifts her gaze and watches the proceedings curiously. Her head tips as her gaze settles on the Slaver and his new companion. Still, unsure of what the Slaver might be on trial for.

Keiran Laasonen 's gaze had been on Aden the entire time, up to the last question where his gaze moved to Anarch and he watched the Captain's own face curiously before looking back to Liara, to here her testimoney.

Liara Edring glances to Caden for a moment nervously, then carefully edges off of the bench, sliding to her feet and shaking out her skirts, her features nearly milky white. She raises her green eyes to Anarch and nods carefully, her voice soft, "I give you my word I will not lie to you, sir."

Anarch Allegiere nods and made sure to pose his questions fast so the other two warriors could pose their own if needed: "Liara... How did you manage to escape the city of Treve after you initial capture by Commander Cal?"

Liara Edring chews on her lip for a moment, her eyes flickering between the three men and then looking to Anarch, "I didn't escape, sir. I was released."

Anarch Allegiere: "By whom were you released and for what reasons?"

Scribe1 glances over at Freewoman1's paper, nodding quietly, then makes a mental note of something she herself noticed, glancing up at the mention of the woman's questioning, lifting an eyebrow to Freewoman1 at the first response, then continues to make notes.

Freewoman1 had still been writing down a few odds and ends, only the things she knew he hadn't yet been made aware of and with a bit of a blink she had found she leant in to whisper once more.

Blue Smithson: looking over to Bella,, eying her script
Isabella Bergiere tilts her paper so blue can read it better

Liara Edring blinks and lifts her shoulders slightly, "I...I don't actually know, sir. I wasn't conscious. Um. Whomever it was took me to the infirmary where a Physician repaired my arm and...other physical injuries." She hesitates for a moment, and then continues, tucking her hands into her skirts to hide their shaking, "I was...not myself, sir. I don't remember much, at least...I don't remember much that makes sense. The next thing that I can remember is someone carrying me through the gates of Tarnwald. And then...nothing for a very long time."

Whispy Karu scowls as the two women lean towards each other to again whisper, rising on her knees slightly, she wished she could make out the hushed and whispered words. Settling back onto her heels, it was useless trying to eavesdrop. Leaning to the side, she watches Liara as she speaks.

Anarch Allegiere grunts and looks at the Warriors before glancing at Caden: "Why exactly did -you- help Trevans escape from the cells in Tarnwald... Caden was one of the men you helped getting his freedom again no? Was it some sort of debt that had to be settled?"

Keiran Laasonen reached up, and rubbed his face thoughtfully at Anarch's latest question... eyes going back to Liara with out interuption.

Enigma Rainforest: looks to Liara with narrow eyes

Isabella Bergiere listens carefully to Liara and notes Anarch's leading question on her parchment - this was why it was better to have a prosecuter to ask questions and a judge to... well judge.

Liara Edring shakes her head quickly, "But, I didn't!" She gestures with her hands for a moment, "It wasn't intentional, that would have been treason, can't you see? The Ubar ordered me to care for the men who had been injured, which I did, even though you were all terribly frightening." She pauses and bites her lip, not looking at Caden, "He tricked me, you see. I thought...he seemed to have a seizure and I had to move him to the infirmary in the lower city. And the guard sent to escort us, he..." She sighs, her temper snapping even weeks later at Alf's idiocy, "He refused to help me restrain Caden, sir, so I had to do it myself. And, well, I'm a Physician, not a warrior. I'm not very good at tying people."

Anarch Allegiere nods: "He tricked you... yet later you companioned him... What other contacts do you have in Tarnwald, Liara?"

Caden Blackrain looked to Anarch "I fought with the men of Treve because I am a man of Treve and swore to this homestone with my blood, Five men of Tarnwald fell because of my combat there but it was not enough captain as you know the numbers that where there. Why did I aid the men in their escape? Would you not do the same if you had the resources Captain?" he said boldy standing once more

Liara Edring folds her arms across her body, glaring at Anarch for the first time, "He didn't exactly give me a lot of choice, sir. He said it would be done, and I would have had to be stupid in the extreme to say no, considering my circumstances." She starts to say something more, then stops when Caden stands, blinking at him worriedly, her gaze flickering between Caden and Anarch, not entirely sure what to do.

Anarch Allegiere holds up his hand: "Calm down, Slaver... the hearing is almost over... then you can hear the judgement of the selected Red Caste." - He nods once more at Liara's reply posing his last question: "What would you be willing to do to proof your loyalty ultimately to Treve, Physician?"

Scribe1's dark eyes had flickered to the banners strewn about the Magistrate's courtroom, her brows lowering a bit and her nose wrinkling as she listened to Freewoman1 whisper, nodding briefly as her eyes slide over to the two at the bench and blinking a bit as the Commander's sudden entrance. Lips move in a near imperceptible whisper back to her sister, wondering what the newest arrival would mean.

Caden Blackrain sat back down

Caliway Wopat: Please pardon my late arrival, I had important affairs to attend to

Anarch Allegiere gives a respectful nod to the Commander as he enters the room, still waiting for Liara's reply.

Liara Edring stares at Anarch and blinks, "I...I don't really know. What would you require me to do to prove my loyalty to my companion's, and now my, homestone?"

Freewoman1 sighed and shook her head, her lips again would part, to reply in turn, her answer rather simple and perhaps too stately given the manner of discussion, but notes, were certainly her priority in that manner. A hand had lifted to gesture for a moment and then found itself tucked neatly to her side once more.

Keiran Laasonen reachs up, scratching his neck with a single finger.... then leans to one side in his seat, still listening to everything that was presented before him.

Tatiana Maldor is drawn to the gathering or voices and enter the warm room, slowly dragging her eyes across the crowded gathering and qickly lowering to the cold floor, her legs closed as she kneels. Looking arond for at least one familiar face before she lowers her eyes again

Anarch Allegiere shrugs: "I see... a rather indifferent answer... Very well... Velius ... please pose any questions you have now, limit it to two if possible. Pose them either to Caden or Liara or them together."

Liara Edring frowns at Anarch, "It is not indifferent. But I don't know what sorts of things might be required. This is...beyond me, sir. I'm only trying to tread water."

Enigma Rainforest: nods "aye Captain" he turns and looks to the two of them "this is for both of you" he pauses and looks between them "was there a courtship period before you were companioned?"

Liara Edring glances to Caden as she retakes her seat, tucking her hands into her skirts once more, her eyes flickering back to Velius.

Caden Blackrain looked to Velius "We had a descrete meeting in Piedmount Rarius... It was indeed something I would consider a courtship" he said with a smirk on his face

Anarch Allegiere taps his fingers on the table, intentionally so to speed up the couple into giving their answers. "Secret meetings... Do you have another question Velius?"

Caliway Wopat: heh.. I bet it was Discrete

Tatiana Maldor traces her slender fingers aling the patterns of the tiles beneath her, she cant hep but overhear the conversation around her, making note of the words, the faces, the scents around her

Enigma Rainforest: narrows his eyes for a moment before looking to the Captain "no, sir"

Liara Edring lets out her breath slowly, turning to look at Emma. She leans close to the woman and whispers softly in her ear

Anarch Allegiere nods: "Rarius Jerek... pose any questions you have now either to the slaver or the physician or both of them, limit it to two if possible."

Freewoman1 flexed her thigh as she neared the bottom of her page, her writing was rather quick, perhaps her shorthand wouldn't do for such a matter. Her nose wrinkled slightly as she flipped the parchment over and continued, she couldnt' believe she had completely blanked out on how to possibly spell -Piedmont-, her lips twisted as her eyes drew faintly closed. There was just a slight shrug of her shoulder before she carried on, finding herself rather interested for once, in a matter she had need to note, her attention focused as she took care to pay mind to even the tiniest detail in the words used.

Isabella Bergiere elbows Blue gently in the ribs and catches his eyes with a questioning look as the younger warrior speaks of courtship.
She was trying to lighten her mood and was finding it so very very hard to hold her tongue on this farce but it was getting harder and harder and she lets out an impatient sigh.

Emmaline Ceriano frowns and slides her backpack from her back...opening it just enough for a slender black box to be visible resting on top of the heaps of bandages and books..she looks to Liara out of the corner of her eye and whispers back with a gentle murmur so low is lost to others in the rustling of movements in the room

Keiran Laasonen looks about at all those gathered, then looks back to Anarch... "Let me .... get this straight. I am new to the situation and this is the first I have heard about any of this. Caden, and this woman are accused of treason and.... espionage... based on the fact that.... Liara, was a citizen of Tarnswald... and that Caden had a secret meeting with her.... offered her companionship in order to save her from the wrath of one of our Commanders?" Jerek seemed to frown, and then looked to Anarch, "What .... exactly ..... are they accused of? Having a lovers Tryst? Perhaps, I am failing to see the crime here. All I've seen is a man who's willing to do what he thinks is right, consiquences be damned."

Caliway Wopat: A-hem...

Tatiana Maldor feels her thighs quiver below her as she is clearly out of place in this room, and feeling a bit unsure of her...purity...she inches closer to Lady Payton
Blue Smithson: catching Bella's arm undermine looking into her face

Enigma Rainforest: shoots a glance at Jerek then looks to Cali

Caliway Wopat: I was one of those who Innitially laid those charges,

Liara Edring sighs with a small nod to Emma. Her eyes flicker to Jerek in surprise at his words, her jaw dropping behind her veils as the first bit of hope creeps into her mind. She bites her lip, lower her eyes once more, murmuring something softly to herself.

Caliway Wopat: If I may addredd teh Tribunal

Caden Blackrain looked Keiran and his mouth gaped open and he sat stunned

Keiran Laasonen looks over at Caliway, "Do you have specific evidence against this man?"

Anarch Allegiere shrugs: "You may see it however you want to see it... She is of Tarnwald and might possibly still be serving the interest of Tarnwald... now possibly being here under the protection of courtship by the Slaver... We are just making sure that the safety of our Home-Stone is preserved. She was a captive of the Red Caste after all... she should've remained one... as she merely disappeared mysteriously." - He nods to the Commander: "Aye... you may answer Jerek's question Commander and pose your own if you so wish... a single question please... so we can move on to the judgement."

[2010/12/18 18:17]  Caliway Wopat: I have his word of testimony given to the Magistrate and myself that he did, knowingly, deliver a Fre woman of our Enemy into our City, and then withouth any form of athority of law, then release her back to our enemy.
[2010/12/18 18:17]  Caliway Wopat: This done durig a time of War.

Anarch Allegiere nods and looks at Jerek to see if it cleared anything up: "Do you have a last question to pose the couple to enligthen us further on the matter, Commander?"

Liara Edring presses her lips together and says quietly once Cal has finished, but clearly, "I am no longer of Tarnwald, nor would I return to them even if I could. They would not receive me even if I were to return to them."

Enigma Rainforest: nods to the Captain hearing his words, he looks to Cali "people lie, sir"

Tatiana Maldor sighs heavily, crossing her arms over her perking chest as she is so cold in this room. Sh ewatches, trying to understand

Liliana Aluveaux nods to Blue and Bella as she sits down.

Keiran Laasonen looked to Caliway as the man offered the evidence of Caden's apparent confesion. He nodded some and looked to Caden, "You admit you brought Liara, to the Hidden City and then took her back to Tarnswald?" Jerek tilted his head, "What have you to say on the matter?"

Blue Smithson: nodding to the lady.

Caliway Wopat: and again ut seems, he did so, only the second time under her guise of companionship.

  Liara Edring: No, he didn't.

Emmaline Ceriano rests her hands quietly in her lap and watches Liara out of the corner of her eye..she presses her lips firmly together to keep herself quiet..delicate fingers trailing over the designin the fabric of her skirt..catching the end of a loose thread she twirls it around her finger

Caliway Wopat: Oh? so now you remember how you got here? last time I asked you you claimed not to remember

Anarch Allegiere tapped his fingers impatiently on the wooden border of the table: "Do you have any last words before we can move on to deciding proper punishments or deliberations, slaver?"

Liara Edring: I said I didn't remember how I got here. I didn't say that I didn't know who brought me.

Anarch Allegiere: "Order please... let's handle with this swiftly."

Freewoman1's lashes flickered softly against the tops of her cheeks as she leant back against the wall. She had nearly filled the second page and of course, her attention span was beginning to waver. Surely the matter might have been solved soon enough. A brief glance up from the page, she had noticed a few had found their way into the room, a faint sigh wove it's way out as she studied the faces and looked finally to Scribe1 with a shake of her head before she began, yet again to note the words as specifically as she might have.

Blue Smithson: standing quietly moving by the door

Caden Blackrain looked to Keiran "The circumsances of the ladies release the first time was not at my hand... But I took her the second time as a spoil of war Scarlets... As it is my right... There was no battle when I took her, I took her during the escape that I led. I did return her for she had duty to her own homestone as their only physician. At that moment in time she was of Tarnwald and knew that she would be punished for her mistake in her bindings on me and resulting escape of the men of treve from their prison... I did admit this in the first Hearing with the other Magistrate where he deemed such a thing not out of order... I would expect you would see it the same way as it is presented to you as the Truth and not a twist of the circumstances"

Anarch Allegiere: "Good, we have heard enough we will now go over ot the vote that determines the fates of the couple standing on trial before us. Presing Red Caste members, me, Velius and Jerek, please reply with 'Yes' or 'No' to the following questions which will be posed one by one."

Isabella Bergiere stands, "I would like to make a brief statement for posterity"

Caliway Wopat: so a slaver took a woman he didn't enslave into our hidden City, and just let her go out of teh kindness of his heart...

Enigma Rainforest whispers: clears his throat "if she was taken as a spoil of war she would be in a collar"

Anarch Allegiere: "Motion denied scribe... go back to scribbling on your paper."

Isabella Bergiere stands and addresses Anarch, "I would like to register my formal objection as to the way in which this 'hearing' has been conducted.
With all due respect, the red caste are not trained in how to act as magistrates. These 2 warriors - whilst I am impressed at their comprehension of the facts are new citizens and may not even have sworn on the homestone.
The chief scribe was not consulted on this and if i was not for the fact that the Ubar is unavailable I would take my grievance to him. I -will- ecalate my grievance but by that time caden and liara' sentence - if any - could have been carried out therefore I request that until the chief Scribe has had time to speak with the Ubar - no sentencing is conducted."

Liara Edring turns her head to Emma and looks at her for a long moment, a question in her eyes, her features white at Enigma's words

Anarch Allegiere: "First question: Do you believe Liara to be a risk for Treve should she be accepted as a citizen? Affirmation of this question will result in the permanent enslavement to the city-kennels of Lady Liara, until sold in slavery to any man not present at this trial."

  Anarch Allegiere: "No."

Keiran Laasonen Jerek leaned back as he listened to Caden's explanation of the events and then turned to look at Anarch as the man drew the questioning to a close. He wasn't presiding over the trial, and so did not speak against it.... but his brow was furrowed in thought. As he listened to Anarch's question he thought on the matter... hand returning to his mouth.

Isabella Bergiere makes her statement anyway with a cold stare

Anarch Allegiere: "Please reply with 'Yes' or 'No' to my question posed, Velius and Jerek."

scribe1 just continues to watch between those speaking and eyebrows lowering as Bella speaks out. She didn't agree with this - but she would take it to Vic herself.

Freewoman1 leaned in to whisper to Scribe1, only pulling back to find her eyes drawn to a close. Surely the simple yes or no answers would be recalled rather easily.

Keiran Laasonen: No. I've seen no evidence presented here today that the woman poses any threat to this city other than the fact that she was at one time a member of Tarnswald.

Anarch Allegiere: "Velius?" - he glances at the young Rarius.

Enigma Rainforest: shakes his head and looks to Anarch "I agree with Jerek....I will have to say no"

Liara Edring curls her hands into her skirts, making small fists in the silken fabric, her breathing shallow as she fights to keep herself at least marginally calm, biting her lip until it nearly bleeds in an effort to cut through the fear that tries to overwhelm her.

Anarch Allegiere: "Second question for the judges: Do you believe Liara needs to be disciplined for any actions described in this hearing? Affirmation of this question will result in a 5-day punishment collar to the city kennels for the Lady."

Tatiana Maldor can't help but inch claser to the hearing before her, her knees pressed to the cold tile as she leans forward, ignoring her body and just trying to listen

Scribe1 glares aside at Bella, a moment, she would have to have a talk with her own as well, it seemed.

Anarch Allegiere: "No."
 Enigma Rainforest: "no"
 Keiran Laasonen "No."
 Caden Blackrain smiled

Isabella Bergiere catches Scribe1's look with a hurt expression, she was just trying to stand up for her caste

Anarch Allegiere: "Third question for the judges: Do you believe Liara can be trusted to pledge her loyalty to the Home Stone by spilling her blood unto it? Affirmation of this question will result in her being accepted as a Trevan citizen. Negation of this question will result in her being banished out of Treve."

Liara Edring closes her eyes and lets her breath out slowly, still shaking but the fear ebbs somewhat

Emmaline Ceriano holds her breath...glancing to Tarlyn out of the corner of her eye

Freewoman1 pulled another page from the pouch at her side and began to write once more, her focus and attention on the trio of men sitting in the front of the room. Her lips had pursed as she concentrated, she had a few more words for her sister, but surely they might have waited until the matter was solved, they hadn't been of much importance then, anymore.

Tatiana Maldor leans forward a bit more, her les slipping aparts ever so slightly as she watches

Anarch Allegiere waits for the other men to answer first.

Enigma Rainforest: looks to the woman and studies her a moment with narrow eyes before looking to the Captain "yes"

Keiran Laasonen looked to Caden now, still thoughtful .... and Jerek rubbed the scruff of his face before straightening, "Yes."

Scribe1's gaze flips back to the men, should the woman be accepted, she would swiftly deliver a oath ceremony if needed.

Slave1 leans forward, her palms pressing to the floor as she listens. Some of the words seemed foreign to her, still though she was captivated by the goings on. Occassionally, her gaze lifts and darts between FW1 and Scribe1, then settles again on those in the courtroom.

Anarch Allegiere shrugs his shoulders: "No." not that it mattered ... the two 'yes' votes outweighted his own. "The following question: Do you believe Caden to be a risk for Treve based on the actions described in this hearing? Affirmation of this question will lead to his impalement."

Liliana Aluveaux presses her lips together as she waited for the answers.

Keiran Laasonen "No." Jerek said simply, "Caden has acted, in every meeting I have had with him.... with the utmost honor. He fought, this very day against the enemies of Treve. He is no traitor, and no spy."

Anarch Allegiere merely gives a "No" as reply to the question posed.

Caden Blackrain eyes stared a moment in time listening to their vote and stood strong nodding to Keiran and then Anarch

Liara Edring had just started to breathe when she hears Anarch's next words, biting her lip and looking to Caden worriedly, reaching over to grab Emma's hand, squeezing it tightly as she watches the three judges worriedly

Enigma Rainforest: looks to Caden for a moment and sighs before looking back to the Captain "no...but he does need to be punished"

Isabella Bergiere lets out a shaky sigh of relief

Anarch Allegiere: "Final question: Do you believe Caden needs to be disciplined for any actions described in this hearing? Affirmation of this question will result in a 5-day imprisonment to the Treve dungeons."

Anarch Allegiere: "Yes."

Arianwen Mercy: rubs her temples having a bit of a headache with all the questions .

    Enigma Rainforest: nods "yes"

Leyla Antiesse was following proceedings keenly. She kept her eyes on her Master and smiled when he delivered his decision. It was fair and well thought out, like everything he did.

Liara Edring blinks, frowning behind her veils. She lets out her breath slowly, glancing to Caden

Keiran Laasonen Jerek turned and looked back at Caden, listening to the other two judges and their answers, then.... he nodded his own head. "Caden did as he thought was correct, but it could easily have endangered the city."
 Keiran Laasonen "Yes."

Emmaline Ceriano frowns though it isn't evident through her veil..she looks to Liara trying to give her hand a comforting squeeze but frozen

Caliway Wopat: Tribunal... if i may pose an additional question?

Caden Blackrain bowed to them was going to say something then looked to the commander.

Caliway Wopat: for teh judgement of this Gathering

Enigma Rainforest: looks to the commander

Anarch Allegiere raised his voice lightly: "Judgement has been passed by neutral voices of the Red Caste. 'Liara and Caden are to pledge their loyalty to the Home Stone immediately ... After which Caden is to be arrested and placed into the sewer dungeons for 5 days... Warriors present assure that they are escorted to the Home-Stone and that Caden is brought to the cells right after." - He nodded his head lightly: "Quickly then Commander, please. So we can say this trial has been done efficiently and fast... the scribes could learn a thing or two from the Warriors."

Caden Blackrain: I have already pledged... Do you want me to scar my other hand this day?

Liliana Aluveaux raises an eyebrpw but says nothing, just glancing over at Freewoman1.

Scribe1's eyes flash in anger at the slur to her Caste, then narrow, hands clenched into her skirts.

Anarch Allegiere shrugged: "I don't know who does or doesn't pledge... merely following Ubar's instructions... so aye, scar your second hand as well... that you surely might remember what Home-Stone you swear loyalty to." - he waits for the Commander to pose the last question to end the trial.

Caliway Wopat: As this Man's action were in addition to being foolish, also in contradiction to his very Caste, should he Not then be removed from teh caste of Slavers in our City, Citing his Mistake of NOT collaring the captive Free woman and instead releasing her to our enemy, before then taking her not as his slave but as his companion?

Caden Blackrain looked to the commander in awe and shook his head

Anarch Allegiere frowns: "That is something for the Magistrate to deal with... we can't dispose members of other castes... from their caste."

Liara Edring presses her lips together, shooting a baleful glare at Cal, anger welling up fierce and hot in her as she curls one hand into a tight fist in the folds of her gown, her small body shaking slightly.

Tatiana Maldor watches them convene at the front of the room, she shakes her long dark locks, tickling against her back. as she repositon on her knees, she feels her belt of purity grind into her, making her scowl. She sighs heavily and waits for whats to come

Anarch Allegiere stood up straight: "Very well... Warriors present please escort Liara and Caden to the Home-Stone." - he looked over to Scribe1: "Now you can do something useful for this trial, Lady... please lead the ceremony for them."

Caliway Wopat: I dissagree Captian, you are here in representation of the Law as it regards to the defence of this City, he acted withour such consern and in addition to the opposition to his caste. that is the rvery reason he is here...

Keiran Laasonen had been about to say almost exactly the same thing to Anarch in response to the Commander's question. He kept his silence however, but was frowning... sitting in silence upon the seat of judgement. He nodded to Anarch then, and stood...

Isabella Bergiere lounges back on the bench with a bit of an insolent air before glancing over to Scribe1 and she really wanted to say something but she was already admonished and says not a word

Caden Blackrain: I will draw my blood again, and respect the court" he unbuckled his sword belt and held it out to Anarch to take

 Enigma Rainforest: "aye, Captain"

Emmaline Ceriano: "There is nothing in the codes of the Caste of Slavers that dictates that they must collar every Free woman they lay hands on - don't be ignorant Cal.

Caliway Wopat: you have every right to see him so punished

Liara Edring glances to Emma, reaching over to hug the woman tightly, whispering to her softly

Enigma Rainforest: leans down and lifts his helmet replacing it

Liara Edring whispers: You are a holy terror when you put your mind to it, cousin.

Anarch Allegiere nods respectfully at Caden and takes his belt. "Please continue towards the Ubar's room or wherever they are keeping the Home-Stone nowadays."

[2010/12/18 18:41]  Caliway Wopat: Mind your Place lady, or teh nest tken in a collar will be you

[2010/12/18 18:41]  Emmaline Ceriano: No, Cal - you mind your place.

[2010/12/18 18:41]  Caden Blackrain: The stone is this way.

[2010/12/18 18:42]  Liara Edring presses her lips together and scowls at Cal, "I have taken all I will take from you, sir. You will -not- speak to a Physician and my -cousin- in such a way. You leave her alone, do you hear me?"

[2010/12/18 18:42]  Scribe1 flashes again "I would suggest you speak to the Lady's Companion before you make such a comment Cal."

[2010/12/18 18:42]  Liliana Aluveaux raises her eyebrows at Cal's retort and mutters. "Disrespectful."

[2010/12/18 18:42]  Caliway Wopat: my place... you think you have some unheard of right tospeak to me in that way/

[2010/12/18 18:42]  Keiran Laasonen "You threaten a free woman of the City with a collar?" Jerek looked ovre at Caliway, "Since when did the men of Treve threaten their own in such fashion?"

[2010/12/18 18:42]  Anarch Allegiere shouts: "Order! Please! Lead Liara and Caden to the Home Stone!"

[2010/12/18 18:43]  Anarch Allegiere: "Lady Tarlyn..."
[2010/12/18 18:43]  Anarch Allegiere: "The Ubar's room, right?"
[2010/12/18 18:43]  Liara Edring links her arm with Emma's, fully intending to tug her along, not about to leave her alone in Cal's presence

[2010/12/18 18:43]  Caliway Wopat: Since the Men were Men. and the Women were insolent...

[2010/12/18 18:43]  freewoman1 smiled faintly and drew a step towards the warrior who had so duefully escorted her the night prior. "Velius" she said softly, a key drawn from her side and placed in his hand, "A white silk, for your use", she stretched a hand and pointed in Tati's direction

[2010/12/18 18:44]  Emmaline Ceriano steps closer to Jerek, recognizing him from earlier in the day, "i am far from insolent."

[2010/12/18 18:44]  Keiran Laasonen: ...... She is a free woman, Commander. Not a slave.

[2010/12/18 18:44]  Caden Blackrain took Liara's hand "This way..."

[2010/12/18 18:44]  slave1 scoots closer to Tarlyn, keeping her gaze lowered, the voices and words that filled the more intimidated her more then a little.

[2010/12/18 18:44]  Enigma Rainforest: looks to FW1 as she drops a key into his hand, he glances to the girl and smiles "thank you, Lady"

[2010/12/18 18:44]  Liara Edring attempts to tug Emma with her

[2010/12/18 18:44]  Scribe1 lifts her eyes and her voice "When the rom is cleared, and others not involved are gone, I will be glad to take care of a swearing-in."
I will not do it in chaos.

[2010/12/18 18:45]  Tatiana Maldor feels her eyes widen as she looks up at the master, first with stunnned look, them softens to an easy smile, "Greetings Maters" is all she musters

[2010/12/18 18:45]  Caliway Wopat: She is what she is only on the Grace of the Men of this City...

[2010/12/18 18:45]  Freewoman1 smiled faintly as she withdrew, folding the notes in half, she shoved them into the pouch at her side and glanced back to Scribe1, her lips curved into the warmest of smiles, "Perhaps in the meantime, a note to be passed if you'd like still Sister mine?" (excuse me ))

[2010/12/18 18:45]  Emmaline Ceriano tugs her backpack up and slides it to her shoulders with a sigh, "Stay away from me, Cal. I'm not going to play your ridiculous game. i am a well-respected Free Woman in this city and you have no place ot threaten me."

[2010/12/18 18:45]  Keiran Laasonen completely ignored Emmaline at the moment, his attention upon Caliway, "Your words are themself a crime of your caste. The men of Treve enslave the free women of other cities.... NOT their own. You forget yourself...Commander."

[2010/12/18 18:46]  Anrach Allegiere: "Aye... do not threaten one of our own, we are Trevans after all. Commander... Liara and Caden please follow Tarlyn to the Home Stone... now."

[2010/12/18 18:46]  Enigma Rainforest: sighs at all the chaos around him, he looks to Caden "go, slaver...I will follow"

[2010/12/18 18:46]  Caliway Wopat: Do not think you know enough to question My lad, i protected this land before you could carry a sword...

[2010/12/18 18:46]  Keiran Laasonen: Then you should know better.

[2010/12/18 18:46]  Liara Edring has no idea where she's supposed to go, following Caden and tugging Emma along behind her

[2010/12/18 18:46]  Leyla Antiesse was about to leave and wait outside for he Master, but it seems another drama took place. She leaned against the pew and listened, never a dull moment in Treve it seems.

[2010/12/18 18:46]  Tatiana Maldor feels her eyes dash from side to side as she tries to follow the many conversationsions. her thisghs rest softly against the concrete as she exhales, looking to the man she addreessed jsut before

[2010/12/18 18:46]  Keiran Laasonen: I do not question, I tell.

[2010/12/18 18:47]  Liliana Aluveaux stands up when everyone else does. She smiled softly as she listened to Jerek, once again glad for his voice of reason. Smoothing out her skirts, she was curious on the outcome between Cal and he.

[2010/12/18 18:47]  Keiran Laasonen: Do not threaten another woman of this city with a collar, with out due cause.

[2010/12/18 18:47]  Caliway Wopat: Then perhaps you need to leard to hold your Tongue.

[2010/12/18 18:47]  Anarch Allegiere: "Commander... Let us drop this matter now... the Ubar wishes for these two to pledge their loyalty to the Home Stone immediately."

[2010/12/18 18:48]  Keiran Laasonen: I ... like other men in this room, will do as I see right, despite the dangers. Your threats fall upon deaf ears, commander.

[2010/12/18 18:48]  Caliway Wopat: One more word from you and i will see you demoted to guard of teh tarnshit

[2010/12/18 18:48]  Tatiana Maldor her eyes flicker, unsure if she should follow"

[2010/12/18 18:48]  Keiran Laasonen laughed in the other mans face.

[2010/12/18 18:48]  Keiran Laasonen: Show the world your quality, Sir.

[2010/12/18 18:48]  GM 4.01: Caliway Wopat Has Captured Keiran Laasonen!

[2010/12/18 18:48]  Scribe1 nods to hr sister, thn look to Liara and Caden. "Follow me please."

[2010/12/18 18:48]  Enigma Rainforest: growls and looks to Jerek "that an is your superior

[2010/12/18 18:48]  Emmaline Ceriano steps around the benches and heads toward where the homestone used to be..glancing back to Scribe1 looking for her direction...

[2010/12/18 18:48]  Liara Edring blinks, spinning around, her eyes wide

[2010/12/18 18:48]  Caden Blackrain says to Scribe1 "The 49th .... A Warrior is not quick to anger...nor does he take advantage of those who are not fortunate enough to be of his caste. "

[2010/12/18 18:49]  Caliway Wopat: Now... /me draws his blade and beats the man down..
.
[2010/12/18 18:49]  Caden Blackrain looked over at Caliway and again shook his head

[2010/12/18 18:49]  Enigma Rainforest: "women and slaves, clear out NOW!"

[2010/12/18 18:49]  Liara Edring raises her hands to her mouth, her eyes aon the fallen man, automatically looking to see any major wounds

[2010/12/18 18:49]  Caliway Wopat: I willNOT tollerate incolence...

[2010/12/18 18:49]  Anarch Allegiere sighs and draws his own blade: "Commander... I shall not stand for another Trevan woman to be threatened... Jerek acted properly according to law and honor of his Caste! Tarlyn, lead Caden and Liara to the Home Stone !"

[2010/12/18 18:49]  Liliana Aluveaux gasps softly as she stood stillm almost frozen in her spot in horro.

[2010/12/18 18:49]  Leyla Antiesse slips between the pews and reaches towards her Master. She drops to her knees to check him for wounds and her eyes are daggers on the man who downed him.

[2010/12/18 18:50]  Scribe1 just shakes her head, muttering then looks to Velius "If you will excuse me Sir, my -Caste- duties call to me."

[2010/12/18 18:50]  Caliway Wopat: Take this Man out then... Unless you question your Commanders as well

[2010/12/18 18:50]  Enigma Rainforest: WOMEN AND SLAVES OUT!

[2010/12/18 18:50]  Anarch Allegiere leans down to pull the man back straight and on his feet: "He acted according to law and honor, Commander..."

[2010/12/18 18:50]  Caliway Wopat: Captain..
.
[2010/12/18 18:50]  Scribe1 looks back shaking her head "Ridiculous - military justice.

[2010/12/18 18:50]  Free Woman1 rose a brow and just chuckled as she glanced at the actions of men. "Interesting" she murmured in scribe1's direction, leanign in with a soft whisper, "If you have word y means of a note, please pop by my room...have a lovely ceremony", her head would dip and she slipped quietly up the steps, a hand snapping and pointing in Tatiana's direction and then towards the doorway. Surely she might have recognized that as a sign to find her way out the door
[2010/12/18 18:51]  Caliway Wopat: that may be the only thing that saved his Life...

[2010/12/18 18:51]  Tatiana Maldor takles the direction quickly and follows

[2010/12/18 18:51]  Leyla Antiesse was glad Jerek was up and on his feet and she backed out from where men stood, she would not leave but watch so she wasnt under way, her eyes on the men near the podium.

[2010/12/18 18:51]  Keiran Laasonen picked himself up from the floor, "Impressive, display. Commander." he wiped the blood off his mouth.

[2010/12/18 18:52]  Isabella Bergiere slips back into the courtroom a little grubby and dishevelled from her quick excursion to return the homestone from it hiding place, she notices Jarek climbing to his feet and wonders what on Gor she has missed

[2010/12/18 18:52]  Liliana Aluveaux just stands in horror at the display, deeply upset.

[2010/12/18 18:52]  Enigma Rainforest: growls "I have lost sight of the slaver and his woman...I will go find them" he hufs and walks out

[2010/12/18 18:52]  Anarch Allegiere nods: "Let us see that Caden is brought to justice in the dungeons after the pledging of his loyalty... A bit of sword-clashing never harmed a Warrior." - He pats Jerek on the shoulder supportively. "Let's see to our duties... the art of steel can be honored later, men."

[2010/12/18 18:53]  Caliway Wopat: I would suggest you review your Codes Warrior... Perhaps while you stand guard over teh manure

[2010/12/18 18:53]  Keiran Laasonen "Yes, it can." Jerek looked back at Caliway... he hadn't even made an attempt to defend himself. He spat lightly upon the floot at Caliway's feet. He had no further answer for the man... blood splattering over his boot.

[2010/12/18 18:54]  Anarch Allegiere: "Honor has many voices and many songs... Commander. But the law is clear... no Trevan woman shall be threatened in the manner we just saw... please calm down, with all due respect... my Commander."

[2010/12/18 18:54]  Leyla Antiesse was watching Caliway spew venom at Jerek, and she stilled, her eyes on her Master's bloody mouth. She winced as he spat blood and mentally checked her healer's belt. Hopeful his laceration is minute.

[2010/12/18 18:55]  Anarch Allegiere: "Let us go see to it that Caden is brought to the cells after he pledged his loyalty... they are in the Ubar's room..."

[2010/12/18 18:55]  Caliway Wopat: are you planning on Obeying your Order Captain Captain?

[2010/12/18 18:55]  Anarch Allegiere: "What order, Commander?"

[2010/12/18 18:55]  Caliway Wopat: I ordered you to remove that man

[2010/12/18 18:56]  Liliana Aluveaux sighed softly as she finally set to leaving. "Power gone to his head." She replied as she headed down the stairs.

[2010/12/18 18:56]  Anarch Allegiere nods at Jerek: "Let's go to the Ubar's room and escort Caden to the cells.... come, let's go, Brother."

Anarch Allegiere nods to adress Blue: "Someone is scribbling on paper awfully loud out there in the hallway... go tell him or her to stop it."

*laughs* that really made me stop midway through reading cos it's just so funny. The images and sounds in my head ...ok best stop now.

Right, that was really interesting. Nice twist at the end between Commander and Jerek. Hmmmmmm

Great job! I can't believe how much gossip this stirred up and the number of people wanting to see the Ubar about it. I hope everyone had fun with it.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!  I really didn't know how it would turn out.

Aftewards, I got IM's going, "I think that's the most dramatic way anyone's ever joined the city."

LOL I was actually scared for a while there...

Well...they weren't acting as scribes in the least!  But...surely that will all *hopefully* be handled in RP shortly.  Was a fun RP.  For a moment I had to reread one of my posts to make sure Anarch wasn't referring to -my- scribbling.
