Are "Princess" slaves "By the Books"?

This quote brought to mind a lot of things that we see in role play that are often shrugged off as "Disney" and "Princessy". Are these sets of behaviors acceptable in a Gorean setting? Just how many men "willingly wear the collar of their lovely slave" and more importantly why?

I think, theoretically speaking, Master can do anything his wish in gor. There are no rules - his wish and desires are not restricted.

That said, I will be upset if I see my Master do that with me or have such desires.

I think that is more a metaphor oppose to it being taking in the literal sense.

What I understood is though the slave wears the collar its she who is in control by what she offers that the Master wants, sex, passion a heated slave. In that the role can be reversed, but the collar the master wears is a metophor.

A metaphore I agree with and it's in the privacy of certain quarters, not out in public. That is what you have to keep in mind. In the open around others, he's in control what he wants to happen happens, or doesn't. While in the privacy of the home, if he wishes to let her THINK she is in control, to get her desires met, that is a totally different thing.

To me that whole long line of text in the quote seems to say one thing.   Pussywhipped.

For those of you who don't know exactly what that term means, which I highly doubt,  here's a description from Urban Dictionary.

I suppose I might see *ONE* situation where, for nothing other than his own self indulgence a man might allow his slave to taunt and tease him, in essence bearing her metaphorical collar for a few hours..perhaps again if he liked the experience.  But I would make no mistake in gathering that the same man wouldn't hesitate to see the character treated exactly as she needed to be outside of those few hours.

I read that as a beautiful, intelligent slave using cunning and charm to manipulate her master into getting her own way.  Therefore the master wears the metaphorical collar.

Pussywhipped is a good expression. 

Course it would happen on Gor -  the men were individuals, some would be more subjective to that kind of psychological manipulation than others.


Am sure most of these women would meet their match eventually - same as on SL-Gor.   We all know which men we can push further than others IC!

OMG... this is so something I can't stand in Gor. I am sorry, but there is no room for them. We once had one on our chain. Princess through and through. She expected all the attention, got made OOC that Master wasn't on, and then complained IC about it. She totally flipped out when I came in the room and they were furring. I couldn't help but laugh on the situation. If your wanting a girlfriend or boyfriend, Gor, or even SL isn't the place for you. In Gor, "Slave have no privacy," and that is all so true. They don't. She didn't like that much. She was third on the chain meaning the time was less with her. She didn't like that at all, ulitimate attention was suppose to he on her. Anyways, I can't stand that saying, and there shouldn't be any in GOR!

I am hopeless at quotes, not having searchable books, but the relationship between Tarl Cabot (my erstwhile and illegitimate father) and Elizabeth Caldwell had her attempting to pussy-whip him...mind you... they both originated from Earth and are not reliable indicators of true Gorean behaviours.

Mind you, how many of us have Earth in our back story? I certainly play the "Tarl" dilemma between Earth and Gorean behaviour patterns. But gradually, I'm getting the upper hand over my slaves and even my FC... (waits to see if she will see this post and blast me for it!)

It seems as though my Master and Mistress (IC and OOC) have taken a liking to me and have afforded me some liberties.  I have been given a whip to "train" the other household girls (OMG ... if you knew me you would know how hard it is for me to rp this part!)  and I have been given my own room AND the coveted spot at the Master's bed ... or the foot of it, I should say. 

I get to wear all the lovely stuff ... in every color INCLUDING body jewels .. wooo hoooo!  I figured I would be stuck in a stinky little boring rag.  Nope!  Hey, being cared for and being allowed to keep my clothes on and my "tower" engaged has made for some really good role play.  I still bust my butt to please, serve, interact .. etc. and they are making it FUN for me by giving me some latitude. 

BUT!  I am not a "princess slave" and I know my role play place.  NEVER out of line, never speaking rude or being disrespectful to the Free and ALWAYS being a darling little pleasurable angel.  With a whip.
