I've been playing a Musician sporadically for a few years now and I just thought I'd put my feelers out there and see what other people are up to who belong to the Musician's Caste:

Do you play strictly music? Or do you mix it with poetry, "singing" or storytelling?

Do you play as a hobby, or do you play for your next meal?

Do you wander from city to city or do you just stay in one place, or even one location, like an Inn?

Have you paired up with another musician for a performance?

Have you ever worked with dancing kajira?

Do you ever do concerts?

Sorry, I only just saw this.   

To answer your questions:

I play music, and mix it with poetry and singing - always original poems from RP ususally that people have paid me for.

I am employed privately by Dove of the Tarnhouse and am paid a wage by her, although i also take on *private* jobs, often trying my best (and failing ) not to let her find out about it so I dont have to pay her a cut. 

I go wherever I am paid to play or *sing* a story - I did used to wander before being employed by Dove.  I also use it as a front to gather information for people (eg have in the past used it as gaining an IC positive ID for a killer or to spy for a Commander).  I also use it as a front for my own kleptomania 

I have done a few concerts, both arranging and participating, with other musicians, poets and storytellers.

Am out of RP for another few days but from weekend should be back - you are more than welcome to come visit and chat IC at the Tarnhouse in Rose Isles if you want to arrange something or talk more !!!!

I've just begun rp'ing as a storyteller. These days I tell stories for my next meal. I believe I have family somewhere with money as the belongings I woke up with seemed to be mine and were of excellent quality. My memory isn't what it was, as I remember nothing prior to a month ago.

Hopefully, I'll find my family or they'll find me. In the meantime...

I mix it sometimes with storytelling or poetry or singing. It depends on the environment and situation

I do it for my living beside other things like bringing merchants together I know one selling and the other looking for the same goods (brokerage), calligraphy and running ceremonies (i.e tea ceremony).


- Do you wander from city to city or do you just stay in one place, or even one location, like an Inn?

I travel but am loyal to my homestone and return regularly.


- Have you paired up with another musician for a performance?

I group up and play with other musicians whenever I have the chance because it is a lot of fun. I am member of an entertainer group (send me an IM if you want to know more or want to join) and just recently joined the Great Caravan as an entertainer as well.


-Have you ever worked with dancing kajira?

Yes. I do not own slaves but I welcome kajirae to join in whenever they like to.


- Do you ever do concerts?

Yes. I can be booked either single or as part of the entertainer group for shows.
I do performances/shows/ceremonies for the public and closed groups as well as private ones.

I use my own stories/poems or those I RPed to get from other entertainers or goreans. I use my own instruments and songs but also Mikki Miles ones (especially when jamming with other musicians).

I play songs on a flute and kalika I found. Being a musician works well for my character. It gives me a valid rp excuse to wander when I am looking for a new sim and most people won't attack and enslave a musician so long as I don't give them any reason to do so.
