I got quite a few lately saying the relationship is vague so here is a good summary of what Treve and Minus relationship are. Please add anything if you want  Wink

Minus was a village ruled by Ar.  Treve managed to get this village from AR and put it under its ruling. Minus holds villagers whom are low Caste. They are less educated and the village really has no power nor ability to stand up to Treve. So Minus, unwillingly are under the ruling of the big bad Treve.

Minus women are protected mainly by their men or by mercs by payment. They are not persay protected by Tervan Warriors unless they so choose to help said woman. Treve will only assist in the matters that will affect the Minusian funds as this will affect Treve. Therefore, Treve protects it against raids. And since it is ruled by Treve, it is very expected that most properties of that Village is considered the ownership of a high Caste of Treve. All the village in Treve eyes, belongs to them. There must be some sort of agreement or a general idea that Treve gets paid to protect Minus. Minus citizens would hate being ruled but having little to no choice and inability to be as strong as Treve, they have to go by their demands.

So Treve protects Minus because Treve feels Minus belongs to them but at the same time they are not obliged to in personal situations. They also don't get involved in disputes between the villagers cuz that's just beneath their level as High Caste. Treve uses Minus to trade with the rest of Gor and communicate. That way keeping Treve even more hidden and secure.

The relationship between the villagers and high Caste may sometimes be rocky. Afterall, Treve's citizens represent the rich community in which Minus is not. Also, Minus villagers are forced to adhere to their wishes and demands and I can see some resentment that may develop from that.

Lina , as I said in group chat last night ,no one has been collecting taxes for a while , our tax collector vanished (probably with the last lot of gold he collected (sorry Kazar only joking )) so to kick off some rp betwen Minus and Treve again I would like , if no one objects t try collecting taxes , it could be fun the villagers hiding money , pretending "business has been bad recently i need more time" etc , does anyone want to comment on this idea? if you have any ideas on this  then contact me on here or inworld , I dont know if its a cursed position as all the tax collectors seem to vanish after a while but Ill give it a go

Ari and callista are both still taxcollectors and it has been decided that the taxes would be collected a month later then last "year", so that should be at the beginning of march. Least, thats what i gatherred when i tried to get a collection going. We really dont need another peasantrevolt like the last one, too many ooc drama  ensued and many people left.

Nope Minus wont have a revolt. They -know- they are no match to Treve. But conflict will always be there. A bit of fear, hatered and maybe jealousy  Wink

Nice twist Grondar, on Kazar.  Yes, a tax collection is a good RP, but no more revolts.  Folks just cannot seem to keep it IC, and avoid OOC tension.

Amen to that -  its just not worth the risk, learning lessons from past mistakes is something that's drummed into me at work and I bet its just as relevant here even though I'm as guilty as the next person at getting carried away!

There's plenty of other sims we can go and annoy and bully hehe Cheesy

ETS - C you forgot about the cucumber sandwiches!
