In a way it is sad to see that GE sims and GE-RPers are in the vast majority. Most GE sims aren't even listed if you type in "Gor" in your search-bar, but some of the areas and linked sims have as many or more people 'RPing' in them than the most active BtB-sims combined. When DSO wants to attack a place they usually manage to call together 40+ raiders in the blink of an eye.  If BtB Gor had as many RPers as GE Gor, the world would be a better place.

2 things about those 40+
* GE has Gor wide aid groups (WE"RE ALLIES", same as panthers "Smigles friends". When a raid is planned, a Gor wide call goes around and then its easy to get 40 people, while Btb sims use only own people and official allies.
* Do those raiders really role play or only raid? I once was visiting a panther group and there were 5 present. Then suddenly they had to raid and left. Well they raided us, Kataii, not with 5 but with more then 30. All TPéd from nowhere.

However many BtB sims TP people in too. Even 2 weeks ago we had a BtB visitor, suddenly he left, because his sim was under attack. Nice example of birding.

She smiled. "I have grown fond of the smell of bosk," said she. Kamchak smiled. He held his hand to the girl. "Ride with me, Aphris of Turia," said Kamchak of the Tuchuks. Nomads of Gor

A little something I wrote about a year ago in another venue regarding my way to reconcile armed females in Gor.  I'm not claiming I'm right, just a new way to look at it.

`````````````````
So the other night I’m watching that old movie “Clan of the Cave Bear”. I loved the series of books, but I admit the movie is super cheesy. Anyway, for whatever reason I’m watching it and I had this sort of lightbulb moment.
Young Ayla puts her hands on a man’s hunting spear. He shouts at her that women are never allowed to touch weapons, and then breaks his spear over his knee in disgust as if it’s tainted or unusable now.
Ping! Lightbulb.
I’ve seen and read countless arguments over the years of women disputing the fact that they could not wield a sword, or slaves arguing that they could use weapons. I’ve seen arguments ranging from women having the strength of a 13 year old girl, to gravity discussions, to talk of the priest kings. I realized in watching this movie that none of those really matter, it’s a cultural thing, women just didn’t wield weapons. Much like in this movie, they never have, and the very concept of it is so completely alien and wrong that the entire clan was shocked and appalled, the men AND the women.
Later, once Ayla grows up and teaches herself in secret to use a sling we see that technically yes, a female can in fact use a weapon. When the tribe is attacked by wolves and a child stolen, Ayla pulls out her sling and saves the child. Her reward? Banished from the clan and treated as a dead person, a ghost, sent to live in exile for a time.
I realize Gor is not Clan of the Cave Bear, but this really just clicked a lot of things for me. Despite the fact that later Ayla goes on to become a wonderful hunter amongst the Others, and has many adventures, what she did in her time in the clan was shockingly wrong to them and she had to suffer the consequences.
If we can try to transfer this type of mentality, the very strict cultural norms that Goreans would have had, the fact that it's a completely different planet not just time, it makes sense there too that women did not wield weapons. Not because they weren’t strong enough, not because the didn’t get training, but because it was so completely foreign it probably wouldn’t have occurred to them. Even if one claims to be playing a character like Ayla, socially so progressive and different and strong of mind that she’d willingly break those norms, even then she should expect the punishment of banishment or death.
Oh, and young Darryl Hannah wearing furs is kinda hot
Thank you, thank you, thank you.  I could cover you in kisses right now Pancakes.  Shocked
Lot of the "why it is not done" stuff on Gor, why things are so strict and non-progression is because it is so extremely ingrained in the culture and mindsets of the people.  What we consider are rather practical is absolutely alien and scary concept to a Gorean.
Hell, go back 200 years and tell our ancestors that women work along side men in almost every job, and that women and non-Caucasians have the right to vote.  They will look at you like you grew 3 heads and speaking in tongues and promptly burn your ass on the stake.
There is a trick to the game of life. I still haven't figured it out yet but when I do.....I am so going to stand there as you lay curled up on the bed, a quivering puddle of sex
