One thing that not only happens to new Masters is the question of how to busy their kajira in a meaningful way.

We all know how it is done in "real" Gor.
They are worked hard and they are used often.
Kajirae of warriors are also allowed to accompany them and live in their "war camps", to take care for their masters after battle.

Now SL-Gor puts us in front of a slight "shift" in priorities.


All of us... Free and slaves... are here to enjoy Gor and the little time we have.
Enjoying Gor in SL means to be "active" in one way or the other.

So the question arises... how do I keep my slave "active"... in a meaningful way?


I could tell her to sit on a "slave chore" animation and let her scrub the floor all day long. *yawn*
I could send her to collect a quantity of this or that (again scripted slave chores)..... can be a good punishment... but all in all.... *yawn*

I can ask her to do "serves" all day long.
OK, here we are coming closer to "meanigful" activities. But... hey... doesn't it even bore the Master to death to have his kajira serve him the 489th paga? (besides - most warriors would already have a nice cirrhosis of the liver)


lets think about things your kajira can do (for you) that will make her feel being a meaningful part of your life:

- Serving drink and food
- Dancing for your pleasure
- Bathing / massaging the Master
- Serving the Master's pleasure

But there is more...

- Running errands (e.g. don't send and IM or a notecard via "Inventory transfer"... send it via slave-mail)
- Bring them to war... they can hide in the background and aid you in case you are wounded... this can turn the tide of a battle.
- Take them with you, when you are exploring. You get captured by Panthers or Slavers... they can run for help (saves you from an "invalid RP" IM call for help)
- Let them furnish your home... a warrior rarely has any taste anyway 
- Lend them to a tavern or teahouse
- Teach them how to "build" in SL. Hey... slaves in Gor had to sew their own silks from cloth they were given. If you can not teach them... let someone teach them... if the Master is not at home and no other kajira around to "play with"... this can fill their time with something interesting in meaningful. Some kajirae are among SL's finest builders, designers, architects. As a positive sideeffect they will know how to adjust their newly bought silks, so they dont stick out of their butt like a peacock feather.


This is for sure not all that can be done with your kajirae...

So tell me Free... what are the best things you are doing with your kajirae except the ones already mentioned?

And you kajirae and kajirii... what was the most exciting thing your Master did with you? What thrilled you and was "out of the ordinary"?

Not only in SL but also in RL the worst you can do to somebody else is to act as if someone wasn't there. This might be a punishment for a Kajira/Kajirus, for a restricted time, maybe; - I personally never would adoptit this in return to punish.

Behind those avaters in SL there are people sitting on a computer, typing, doing Rp for fun. So even if Gor can be harsh a SL-Kajira/Kajirus has a right to be involved in RP, and to have some duties to fulfill, if the Master is not around. Keira gave some good examples.

There might be a conflict which I want to point out: Of course as a Master I would want to find out about the Kajira's/Kajiru's endowments, addictions! My goal would be to preoccupy her/him with tings he/she is affected to, makes it easier for both of us!  - But nevertheless there might be situations where a Kajira/Kajirus has to do something he/she does not like to do. This is an other sting than to be left out! Fact in Gor RP is: Masters do decide over Kajiras/Kajiri, not inverse. Finally the challenge of a good RPing Kajira/Kajirus must be, to fulfill his Master's wishes (of course, within the limits of personal, ethic propositions set by each player!)

PS: This is not valid for Masters only, but also for Mistresses, Panthers, Outlaws, Warriors, whoever ...

I believe it totally depends on how many Kajirae you have.

When you have just one girl, your slave has just one major person to roleplay with and that is you. That means, you need to keep your Kajira busy. Easiest way is to just make her follow where ever you go. When exploring, when going to fight, when visiting some other city. You can always have her around. When carrying her around with you, it is important that she is not just there, but that you also notice she is there. I believe there can be nothing more boring for a Kajira then sitting between a couple of frees who talk and talk and she has nothing to do, can not say anything and her tries to express herself through her body are not taken up by the others.
When you absolutely have to go somewhere she can not follow. What will be very rarely the case, you should just send her to someone else. When you live in an active city, let her serve in the tavern, when you live alone, let her go to shop for some things needed for the household from some merchant you know and where she can stay, chat with her sisters and exchange experiences or serve till you catch her up.

I believe that things change a lot when there is more than one girl involved. Now you can give them certain duties to perform together. Of course it depends on how experienced in roleplay your girl is and how lively her imagination is. But I am sure that the duty of cleaning a house while the Master is away can lead to a lot of great roleplay between your girls. Maybe you come home and find them all giggling, just adjusting their silks and with a bright smile on their reddish faces. Maybe you come home and find their silks ripped apart, their hair totally out of order, the house a mess and your girl hardly able to cover their injuries after the big Kajirae quarrel.

So when you have more than one girl you have new opportunities, but it should still be a mix of your presence and them being alone, doing their own roleplay. What is important is, that you encourage them to play their own games together.You must be and most likely naturally are the centre of their attention when you are around. But when you are not around, you need to show them (if they do not knowalready) how to fill their time with roleplay without you.

Apart from Keira's Idea about things how you can employ your Kajira I would like to add one thing not mentioned before:

-Games. You can let your Kajirae play games. The field is absolutely up to you. They can be sporty, sexual, roleplay, intelligence games, what ever you want.

Why not send your Kajirae out to gather some fruit. The one that has collected most within a certain time gets a candy and is allowed to dress up like a free woman and perfom (in your own house) a roleplay for a certain time. In order to not let her get mad ideas, you should rip the dress from her body afterwards and make her scream out her submission in the agony of her slave orgasm on the rugs afterwards.

People ask me so often "Oh my god, how can you handle so many kajirae?"
Its fairly easy and just as you said Kilth:

a) not all of them are online at the same time
b) there are many new possibiliteis for them to RP... fun with each other, learning/training with each other, chicken-fights.... lots of fun RP
c) I can not always be online or with them... and they have a possibility to something else than just "haning out on the street".

That brings me to another point:
Travel permissions... my girls are generally allowed to travel and explore on their own. Not in dangerous areas, but in city areas... most of them are red silks... and I do not restrict my girls to "use by Mistress only" or "punishment by Mistress only" or stuff like that. So also here the girls have some opportunity for "exiting" RP. Hey, getting captured by Panthers is maybe not nice... but an aspect of Gor RP. Getting  used by another Master... maybe one of the girl's phantasies.

So don't confine them to your house.

As my Mistress is scribe in Sand Sleen, I was teached to read and write so i can help her with all those scrolls there - and I love to ease her workload so then there is time for all the other things Keira mentioned.

As I am to anxoius to travel around alone - i like it very much when i can accompany my Mistress on a journey in another town.

And what i also love are those moments when we can just lie on the sofa at home and just chill and talk - sometimes there is nothing more needed than just that, to make me and - above all - her happy

Erm... that brings me to a particular matter regarding kajira. 

If one wants to use a slave girl as she so rightly should be used, how does one go about it?   

Second Life is set up in such a way that privacy is a little hard to obtain. So if you take your kajira into your room and start ... well... going at it, not only can people hear you from the street, they can change their POV's to actually watch what you're doing. This can be alleviated somewhat by using IM's but there's still the chance that someone's going to watch.

Does this worry or offend people? I know that Gor is universally Mature in nature, but is it necessarily "adult"?  Do people get outraged by sex in the Sim? For that matter, do we ever see the slave/slave sex-on-the-street that occurs in Fighting Slave of Gor?

My best guess is that this sort of thing happens mostly in private residences in non-Gorean residential sims.

People don't mind if a kajira is whipped in public, but would be ashamed of them being "used" in public?

I do not mind at all.
You can read it everywhere in the books... the girls were used wherever the men felt like it.
In taverns, in public meeting places, under the stars... so my goodness... its Gor right? And I sure hope we do not have some 14 year old kids running around Gor.

As a Free Woman... ok doing anything close to that in public would bring me immediately to the slaveblock... but I will not go to a "non Gor SIM" to be bathed or sexed by my girls... come on.

Camera zooming... oh well... I don't care about it. Let people zoom. They want to see me naked... they could just capture me if they had the balls.

... To be honest, Keira: I love the way  you name things, directly, clearly and straight out! And I agree: Read the books, get the Gor philosophy! All those who play in Gor should be aware of it.

In fact this is something I could not understand since the beginning I fell into Gor, I guess I will never understand it: Why do people participate in a world where they have probs to accept essential parts of it? The only basic approaches to answers I can find to it is: Are they curious, are they ignorants, do they want to spoil the game?

I can agreee to anyone who cannot agree to such actions in SL, what ever the person's reasons are, we are free humans, should be old and mature enough to decide about what we go into. There is no secret about this: Gor is harsh, Gor has sexual aspects, and this is said to anyone openly when he enters Gor. So: People who cannot accept this have no place in Gor, they should stay far away from it, I guess. Of course, there are limits of ethical, religious, personal, intime nature to be considered, even in gorean RP, not to forget about Linden's TOS. But basically such acts can happen in Gor, and so such actings have to be agreed on in Gor.

There is no way around to point it out again: RP is asked. And particulately in such an RP-action there are at least 2 people to interact, communicate, the one and only (to me fascinating) possibility to affect, to "control" the ongoing RP.

As for the Bakah: Our Kajirae usually have travel alowness and I think, this is a really, really important thing. We don't have a first girl, but two of the girls have the allowness to trade - of course not as free as it may sound like, but they have to keep the stocks in shape, may talk to traders and so on. I don't want to keep any of my warriors busy with that stuff. We use them for messages, the Bakah are advised to take a girl with them on journeys to use them for possible messages. And we use them on the battlefield - they are trained in small aidings and are even trained in binding people. It doesnt happen in each fight, but in some and helps the fighters to move free in combat. Free may be angry to be bound by a slave - but, well: I don't care. We are a nomad tribe and as for that the girls have much more duties and freedoms anyway. They also have to care for captured slaves. Personally I often use the paper-tray of my Kajira for sending messages or other notes.

To the other part of this topic...it would never be a question to me to leave my slaves at home to get bored by watching the walls and counting the dustparticles, when one is alone...I totally agree everybody has the right to take part in rp and I really would miss their company anyway. If you don't have the time to take care about them or don't like to have them around, don't get them...they shouldn't be treated as an anchor you only use in seldom times when it pops up in your mind and you are in need*smiles

I hadn't anticpated such a response when I made my post. Its good to know that most people here consider it completely ordinary for slaves to rut in the street and men to use kajira openly in the tavern, just like in the books. 

I look forward to the challenge of livening up my local sim and helping to add to the Gorean atmosphere!
