I roleplay in the wonderfull sim of clearchus woods, we have a very nice camp here, so all of you who want to have some fun with some well versed gorean panthers come on by ^^ we could use a few male slaves around camp heheheh Tongue and of course we are always looking to recruit more panthers for the band ^^, however just know we are very strict when it comes to panther behavior, as the panther life is a harsh one ;P

I definitely agree that 'band' most accurately reflects the panther girl group and fits.  As for tribe, like any other possible 'online-isms', I suppose people adopted it as it seemed to be a word that related to what the group was in their own perception.  The group, of which I was a part of, even has tribe in one of our group names.  Not everything, as noted, was done perfectly back in the earlier days of Gorean role play before SL, or after, I suppose.  In short, I can see teaching people now about panther girl bands, and doing it right.  Band always fit my idea of how I saw the panther girl group model as it was.

As for 'En' and 'Se', I don't really recall anyone ever claiming it was 'by the books', nor did we do it for hypocritical reasons   Eve and I adopted use of those as it made sense, for us, to use two Gorean words that simply meat 'first' and 'second' as in the two women running the band. That was about all the hierarchy we had in its simplicity. I got tired of the word 'chieftess' as it doesn't makes sense to me, and I never favored the word 'huntress' in a completely unrelated thought.  What I never personally understood was the later use and development of terms and positions like 'first and second bow', but heh, to each their own.

When I briefly tried the Panther Girl thing again, I went with a band called 'Grunt's Band' as it was named after my character running it at the time.  I like that, and besides.. something about saying you are in 'Grunt's' band, just tickled me silly.

Anyway, I think what people said about it here is correct, and the only thing that I would stray away from is the negative attitude that can be demonstrated about why tribe was even used.   Few things in Gorean role play was ever done perfectly the first time, and we learn from it and move upward as I figure in growth.
