As a humble real life doctor ....

What I want to say is ... I not go on quote war cause gorean books are written in way that almost everything can be understand in one way or another depend from person. But I'm most of all a role player and I follow story what really amuse me in Green Caste ( yes I'm playing green myself, lol.. even being a chief physician in Sais ) anyway what amuse me in many people playing green is placing themselves in position of some uberhuman, someone who has no other feeling that compassion. It is often like " yes I know you slain my best friend and you attack my village but I will do nothing but bandage your scratches with my svelte hand".

In my opinion we are same as others we cry, bleed, hate and love as others and I not see reason to limit role-play to "angel of mercy " one. My greens are allowed to carry daggers , and whips to fight in defend of they life they town (yes we not recognise immunity of green), they can refuse treatment to our enemies and yes we being mean bitches same as being sweeties it is part of role play as all kind of feelings are part of life.

As for PCOG way they trying to help one another is great (yes at very beginning I was part of it), way they they put "code of physician " I find extremely bad

*first I really know Hippocratic oath, as RL doctor I sworn on it and first it describe relation between doctor and patient not doctor and rest of humankind, second ... gor is gor earth is earth best not mix ethic of those other we come to conclusion slavery is bad ;p

* physician not carry weapon - well and how the heck you want to defend yourself while attack, you will kneel and say I'm physician please not kill me and if you do I will forgive you cause I'm physician ... well it pure deny of every living being instinct of survival ... and to add to this I was advise to have male slave to defend me so my question was .." so me angel of mercy shall let this poor sod die in my defence and it is ethic but fighting for myself was not ethic?"

Any way to not type to much about it this are things what bothered me that much I quit PCOG long time ago. I have nothing against those players and will respect they attitude in rp same as will expect my attitude will be respected but if next time when I disarm, bind and strip men who attack my town will hear: "you not acting like green I report you to Kaiila " I will start scream .. cause this I think is worse, this suggestion one group of people have power to set up role play for those who want to play green in gor
