I do agree with Kiana on this issue and believe its rather an earth concept to think of white silk as virginial, innocent and pure, whereas Goreans in the books viewed it as simply ignorance and lack of experience and often something to be ridiculed in a slave due to the *poor* girl not being allowed to have her desires and passions fulfilled.  No doubt some slaves did remain with no fire lit in their belly to be Free Womens tower slaves - but anyone in training to be a pleasure slave in any of its forms, would have her femaleness and condition made very clear to her very early in her training and have growing and increasing desires making her quite miserable in her need for a mans touch.  If I were to take on a role as a white silk ( like THATS gonna happen  ) I would rather enjoy being allowed to show my frustration and increasing intensity of longing and hunger for a man to touch me. 

I would liken this issue to many of the recent discussions that were related to our sim rules or expected behaviour based on onlineisms or just simply from poor knowledge of the training of slaves - like eye contact, kneeling, kissing feet etc..  rather than on any book based practices.   I think also its not simply Kiana having a go at Clearchus, its a very valid debate based on what happens on most sims - and personally, have always found both Bella and Anarch very open to critisicm about their rules here in the forums and welcoming of constructive debate.  ( as long as the LCS isnt mentioned.ha! )

some of the time, however, we dont find people constructive. Thats why we have our own private forums where our citizens can let us know of issues. This whole discussion could have been done without bringing Clearchus NCs into it     We then may have thought "Oh thats interesting we could think of it in our sim" rather than have our stuff copied to us with criticisim.

While I agree, white silk girls can indeed feel need within them like I said before.. there is nothing wrong with that. I dont think a white silk slave should offer herself for use. Her owner should decide that. She could however, do it and suffer consequences. Playing frustration and needing a man to touch her, doesnt seem wrong to me at all but normal!

Yes, I agree certain things should be kept to your own citizens and private due to the hecklers, though I don't believe it was actually Kiana that posted the notecard or mentioned Clearchus initially, merely brought up an interesting subject that is typical of most Slaver houses/Kennels all over Gor.  And sorry, I should have added you too Dana to being open to most debates on Clearchus, as you *usually* are 

If I were playing a white silk in training pleasure slave, I would be desperate for use and be lying on my belly, grabbing ankles, and begging any man that passed me by to touch me  haha!  ...   a simply chastity belt stops any acutal opening.

The discussion is fine by me overall. what I mind is the need to be posting our NCs here..

Why cant this topic be opened just as it is, rather than put NCs of specific sim? I dont find that constructive at all. She could just as easily open this discussion without copying our Nc/words even if she did get it from somewhere.

I dont think its wrong to play want/need/desire as a white silk though ICly I'd think a slave would fear begging to be used openly and may try to hide it. Thats cuz her owner wouldnt want her used until he decided it was time. Virgins are prized on gor. I believe some white silks would love to be red silks and some tend to be more shy, its up to you how to rp your character.. I think a whitesilk could indeed beg her owner to let her become red silk.. but if she does others, and beg them to open her, she can be in real trouble for offering her masters property without permission.. thats how I see it overall.

Well, saying virgins are prized on Gor is rather a broad statment tbh and not entirely true.  Most men seem to prefer an experienced red silk slave to pleasure them, training and experience was very highly valued whereas white silk was merely seen as something to be auctioned off  - not all men thought white silk were a *prize* at all and paid much much more on the block for red silk.

The problem is though, as Kiana rightly pointed out.. you are taking away that choice of the RP'er the way that NC is worded.

They can still do it IC and face consequences if their owner wants to. IC actions = IC consequences. I dunno if I was owner and didnt want a whitesilk to be used, I'd be furious if she was trying to get men to use her, knowing her owner didnt wish it. Its much like disobeying in my eyes
