Weeeeeell .... given the fact I granted manumission to my love slave .... 5 ehn after I pledged to Clearchus' homestone and than one ahn later FC'd her , probably forces me to shut up on the topic of this ......

BUUUUT W/e ... i feel happy today so I am going to write something ....

Slaves can be boring . Very boring . If there are only slaves .... there is no fun ... no seducing ... damn i'd make a damn good lure slave .. but that is another point . Back on topic . FW in Clearchus give the whole society a new dynamic , they are bitchy annoying and snobby .... great for the occasional slap in the face and all such sorts of fun . And Clearchus , aka outlaw state , is very very gritty in regards to FW .... hell Maeve here got raped like one day into her punishment collar ... in the ass if I recall it correctly . So ..... all my wards serve a certain purpose for me , they hold some kind of value . It is the first question I ask a woman when I consider to allow her to name me guardian . What can she give me in return ? They have skills .... some of them worthy enough to keep her free ...I gave 3 or 4 away since they said they could cook .... wrong answer .. slaves can cook too .

I'm shocked, okay I'm really not, I figure the comparison is ooc sl gorean bias from many people.
Not a single one of you have used the most famous city in the books, treve, the outlaw/bandit city for this topic and justification of FW with outlaws.
Treve is nothing but bandits and outlaws.

"We have all the High Castes in Treve," she said, angrily.
Priest-Kings of Gor; p. 62

Yes, I knew the reputation of Treve. It was a city rich in plunder, probably as lofty, inaccessible and impregnable as a tarn's nest. Indeed, Treve was known as the Tarn of the Voltai. It was an arrogant, never-conquered citadel, a stronghold of men whose way of life was banditry, whose women lived on the spoils of a hundred cities.

How could we ever forget?  The most obvious of all examples yet it was totally missed in the argument!  Thanks, Dove.   Wink

On Gor outlaws are usually criminal scum who have been banished for good reason from their cities.  Why they wouldn't simply collar any free woman idiotic enough to show up at their camp is beyond me.  Women are not usually banished for crimes so they have very limited scope to become outlaws in their own right, women who commit crimes are almost invariably enslaved insted.

to be honest , at the start of Clearchus ant woman daft enough to wander into the village was, collared, or if they made themselves pleasing enough or had skills we needed they were given to a guardian, now the village has grown and become a little more civilied, (not much) there is still a danger of this vut more than likely we would trade with them if thats what they came for it is still a hazardous place if you do not have a protector
