Several warriors have been initimidating the  Isle of Cos, kidnapping a FW from there and interrogating her about what is going on in that city. It was found out that, that their is a high caste woman, called Giselle Aeghin, whi has has en elderely father living in treve. ( Giselle RP's having a retired father in Treve) ,  and she has recieved notices that her father will remain "safe" if she does what she is told and discloses information that may be helpful to Treve.

Her response to these notes was to throw the slave delivering the scrolls out of Isle of Cos, and recently the severed arm of her father was left in the Isle of Cos, as a result of an "accident" to him.. So far no response has been received from her.

Word has come over the Thassa that the Isle of COS are concerned and angry over the apparent perception of the abuse of the father of the High Caste Scribe known as Giselle. Several citizens of this island have been seen in Minus.. their reason for visits is unknown, perhaps other citizens can elaborate on discussions.

A Messenger delivered a note to me from Lady Giselle, I seem to have misplaced it but she was requesting assurances that her father and other family members in Treve were being well treated..my response to her was as follows:

Tal Lady Giselle,

Though your Father did meet with a grievous "accident", he was quickly tended to by a skilled physician and is not suffering, his wound has healed. Fortunatly, it was not his right arm that was ..."disabled"...so he is able to continue his work. His mind is kept off his..."situation"..by several beautiful kajirae who are instructed to tend to his every whim (short of helping him escape of course), so you need not worry as long as you provide us the information we seek. We have been patient, but are growing weary of waiting...it would be too bad should you respond as you did last time, throwing our messenger out without the information requested. I would suggest, strongly, that you provide what we seek..and quickly.

I wish you well, Lady.
Signed by my own hand,
Sophia Farella, Ubara of Treve

Her reply to this was:

Ubara,

I have received now two notes.  Neither has specified what information it is you seek.  How can I provide what I do not know?   I have no idea what it is you want from me.  I ask that you not do further harm to my Father.  He has given Treve three hundred years of service and deserves far more honor from his home.  Ask what you will and I will see it is given.

Giselle Aeghin
Daughter of Treve

We need to give her a list of our demands...I have a messenger standing by.

In an unprovked attack on Treve from the Isle of Cos, several warriors where taken as prisoners and subsequently rescued.

There is nothing to suggest this is part of the activities or exchange of messages between the respective high councils, but it should be looked on as a clear signal they want war.

The Ubara made an incognito visit to the Lady Giselle...personally delivering the "requests" made by those who hold the fate of her Father in their hands. She returned with several crates of Cosian Wine, given by Lady Giselle as a good will gesture, promising to have an answer, post haste, to the requests made.

Lady Giselle requested that the slave of the Ubara's paid protector, BC Demonknight Apocolypse, be allowed to visit the Lady's Father and report her findings, knowing slaves are under compulsion not to lie to the Free, so, the Ubara decided to allow it and took the slave to the old Scribe's secret..accomodations. There, the slave spoke with the Man, saw his condition and returned to the BC.

Upon the Ubara's normal, daily visit to the "sequestered" Father of Lady Giselle, she discovered..much to her chagrin..that the old man had somehow escaped! Her mind immediately went back to her visit yesterday, with the BC's slave and realized she had been betrayed. Even though she found no evidence to prove the suspected treachery, she toyed with the idea of having the man assassinated, but decided to consult with the Ubar before hiring a Killer.

The Ubara fumes as she reads the taunting message delivered moments ago from the Lady Giselle, still angry over being deceived and losing the woman's father through the treachery of her paid protector. She looks back down at the scroll and reads it yet again...

Lady Sophiaa,

I write to you to offer my condolences on the recent loss of newly acquired property, namely lara zimring.  I do hope that the men of Treve were not terribly disappointed.  I am told the slave is somewhat of interest, though I certainly cannot see why.

It has been amusing kaissa, Lady.  But, perhaps it would do well to remember who wrote the over fifty volumes of kaissa strategy available in the library of Treve.  I believe if you check their bindings, you will find the name "Aneas Aeghin", Lady Sophiaa.  Let it not be said that his daughter has paid ill attention.

Do enjoy the coming of spring thaw, Lady. There are many plump, ripe targets near the Voltai.  May Treve prosper as it always has, amongst their pickings.

Yours,

Giselle Aeghin

Rumor spreads, first on the docks and then further up into the lower caste holdings and finally through the city: far outside the harbor, just within sight, a ship has capsized and sunk.  There is whispering that she was Karian, and may have recently been in port with shipments of rence paper and paga.

Whispers have it that this was no accident at all, but a ship sunk as pirate and the Cosian navy proudly claiming all the goods from within its hull.

Editors comment.. Seems the unrest and fierce rivallry between Isle of Cos and Port Kar continues, is this something the Raiders of Treve can use in our objective to destroy Cardonicus and its alliance with  Port Kar   Wink

Today.. cosian forces came to minus demanding retribution for the intimidation they have suffered in recent weeks. The response from the Commander Loki .. was to deliver two cases of tarn spoor (shit to you and me).

They immediately attacked treve, having found a map of the paths from sources within the isle of cos (Lady Giselle is a trevian now residing in telnus.. that is our suspicion)

After hours of intense fighting.. nearly losing the positions on the walls of Treve as they nearly breached the defenses, Trevian warriors where able to defend and repel the attackers.

Cosian forces now lay siege to Treve using Minus as their base. All trevians are warned to watch out and for all warriors to remain away from the village until fresh orders are delivered.

smiles and inventories her supplies... knowing that business will soon be good.
