i woudln't mind like 10 of them... and a strict gorean council gave them their weapons no mod no trans, so that would be it... it would be kind of fun to get a contract on one... Grin

Outlaw of Gor

SL Gor is having a hard enough time generating gorean rp between humans.

This talk of branching off for kurii rp makes it sound as if the potential for developing rp has stagnated among existing characters.  I would argue that just the opposite is true - characters are grossly underdeveloped and so the plot suffers.

In time this will happen, after cities and rp-ers develop their identities.  But SL Gor is about halfway through 'Tarnsman' in terms of development.  Skipping ahead to throw kurii in the mix would premature and add superfluous complexity.

Keep it simple.  Develop your character.  Develop your caste.  Develop your homestone.  Develop relationships with the other cities.

When the majority of rp-ers complete this, then worry about starting all over with a new species.  Right now, I'd say less than 1% who can check those off.

Too late. It's all ready happened. There are over 12 Kurii that I know of. It may have gone up to 16, but they exist, they are there and have been for months. At least five months I have known about.

No one can say no to what another person wishes to do. Just not feasible, not right, and not fair.

And no one is following any set time line on the books of Norman. I'm just grateful no one is pulling out the gunpowder from the last book. I really do not wish to see that in gor. It will happen, and will just have to face it when the time comes. But for now, I'll live in blissful ignorance in my tropical Island with the jits and nit wits and the not-the-mamas that roam about... sipping my mojito I stole from Nizmo.

glares at Carter for.. mmm... "kissing" and telling.  She mutters something under her breath that bears a resemblance to "rip off his turkey baster"... and heads off to sharpen her blades....

FYI... many kur don't rp on Gor any longer because they have been told by admin from various sims "we don't rp with furries".  Apparently some haven't ever read a book... BTW, anyone interested in a good kur avi should check with Dagger Barbosa.

there are narrow minded individuals through out gor. Even amongst those that have read the books, because they don't want to deal with a certain aspect, even though it does exist in the books (even a one time presentation says it exists).
I've given reason before why some things are presented only once or twice. It just isn't important for the writer to give much detail for the subject, only being filler or background, sufficient to carry the story along.

Teletus has no issues with Kurii. They did exist, they did come south to the Tahari, so why not the southern isles?

I agree, Anjali.  Like I've told people before that grow anal over something that wasn't in the books but could have definitely been possible... "Even if Norman never mentioned Goreans going to take a crap... I bet they did."

I've rp'ed with kurii many times in the past, and the ones I spent my time around were good rp'ers (if they aren't... I don't rp with them)... and did a good job playing their characters.  The key... as is to every role on Gor... is to know your role... know it well... and play it to the fullest.

And for the gods sakes... HAVE FUN!!!
