You can tell I'm old when the mention of Gorean matchmakers first makes me ask myself... "Why don't they just use flint and steel?"   Roll Eyes  Grin  Grin

Do you mean a person who actually umm... finds a mate for someone, a love connection? Well, even FCships were arranged 'marriages' by like a father who had a daughter and he could benefit finically from finding her the 'right' hubby. It was a business contract and lasted one year.  So umm I am going say no to this after having read all the books published to date so far. Slaves where not brought for love. They were brought for use from the beds to house work.

Since many companionships in Gor are arranged by family, which happens in many traditional societies on Earth also,  it's very likely that are are people who play that matchmaker role.

I know that even in the London City there is a group of older Pakistani men, who help youngsters which struggle between the traditional Islamic customs, and the modern lures of dancings and pubs, to find a fitting partner.
