Serpent™ Assassin of Gor

« 13. September 2011, 17:13:17 »
I’ll be posting a few lessons for assassins and trainees that you may find insightful, amusing and helpful as you travel through Gor.
Some little words of wisdom that I passed on to some of my trainees.

Story One

A little marsh gant bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field.
While he was lying there, a bosk came by and dropped some dung on him.
As the frozen marsh gant lay there in the pile of bosk dung, he began to realize how warm he was.
The dung was actually thawing him out.

He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing larl heard the bird singing and came to investigate.
Following the sound, the larl discovered the bird under the pile of bosk dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Morals of the story:

(1) Not everyone who shits on you in Gor is your enemy.

(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.

(3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep your mouth shut!

Stay tuned for next weeks.

LOL  Great adaptation of a joke that I originally heard in the spaghetti western "My Name Is Nobody." Grin

A Vulo was chatting with a bosk.

'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the vulo, 'but I haven't got the energy.'
'Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?' replied the bosk. They're packed with nutrients.'

The vulo pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.

The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.

Finally after a fourth night, the vulo was proudly perched at the top of the tree.

He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree with an arrow.

Moral of the story:

Bosk Sh * t might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there..

A Tarn was sitting on a cliff resting, doing nothing.

A small rabbit saw the Tarn and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?'
The Tarn answered: 'Sure, why not.'

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the Tarn and rested. All of a sudden, a mountain sleen appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story:

To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

An Assassin Lt , an Assassin Captain, and the Master Assassin are eating lunch when they find an antique oil lamp at the table.

They rub it and a Genie comes out.
The Genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.'
'Me first! Me first!' says the LT.. 'I want to be in Ar , with 15 slaves, as rich as an Ubar without a care in the world.'
Puff! he's gone.

'Me next! Me next!' says the Captain. 'I want to be on a beautiful island off the coast of Cos , relaxing on the beach with my personal slaves, an endless supply of gold and the finest wines from Thentis and all I can eat for life.'

Puff! He's gone.

'OK, you're up,' the Genie says to the Master Assassin.
The master assassin (Xaz) says, 'I want those two back in the camp after
lunch.'

Moral of the story:

Always let your boss have the first say.
****************************************
Later on that day a slave finds the lamp,
she  rubs it and a Genie comes out.
The Genie says, 'I'll give you just one wish.

"I want Severus to smile and be a happy guy to love me and become a painter"
the genie looks at her and says.. "Im not that powerfull!"

An Initiate offered a High physician a lift in his cart careful not to touch her.

She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.

The initiate nearly fell out of the cart

After a while he stealthily slid his hand up her leg praying the priest kings would not strike him down.

The High physician said, 'Sir, remember what was said in the sermon last week in the temple what your brother said in his opening speech?'

The Initiate removed his hand. But, a little later, he let his hand slide up her leg again but dared not go further.
The High physician once again said, 'Sir, remember what was said last week?'

The Initiate apologized 'Sorry Lady but the flesh is weak.'

Arriving at the infirmary, the High physician sighed heavily and went on her way.

On his arrival at the temple, the priest rushed to look up the last sermon and the first line said, 'Go forth and further up, you will find glory.'

Moral of the story:
If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

adds to that :

The Master Assassin tells the trainees after some intense dagger lessons "Go eat, then return"
The trainees file off to the meal upon the tables. Upon seeing the bread and meat, one of the trainees grabs a loaf, throws it into the air, flings his dagger spinning..hitting it just before it hits the ground.
Another trainee seeing that, snorts and whips out his dagger with a flourish and tosses the chunk of meat into the air and slices at it rapidly so fast that it rains thin slices of meat.
All the other trainees pull their daggers and soon bread and meat are flying everywhere, carved into ribbons, sliced, diced and juilanned.
The Master Assassin walks up and they all stop. He grabs one of the last loaves of bread, rips off a chunk with his bare hand,  calmly puts a slice of meat on it, eats it, then tells them "back to lessons".

Moral of the story
Don't lose sight of your goal

Very good I liked that one, I should tell you the time Xaz killed a man while I was eating my breakfast...

I think he has the rp saved somewhere.

Very good I liked that one, I should tell you the time Xaz killed a man while I was eating my breakfast...

I think he has the rp saved somewhere.

In red, that part, cracked me up.

[14:50]  GM 4.02 shouts: *mark name removed* has been killed by Xaz Elephas
[14:50]  Primus Trinitas Sword 2.7 (black): Sheathed
[14:50]  Severus Koskinen: Lifted his plate to avoid the blood, he glanced at Xaz as he ate his breakfast wiping a few splatters of the candidates paper and continuing to mark, instead of using his expensive ink he simply dipped the quill into the lads blood on the table and continued as if nothing out of the sort had transpired..
[14:50]  Xaz Elephas wipes his blade off and reaches for the pitcher filling his glass, returning to his seat.
[14:51]  Cae Writer: I am not sure what the plan is for the board right now. My Master sent me for blackwine, but... I was commanded away again.'
[14:53]  Cae Writer glances over her shoulder toward the guestnowcorpse. 'I suppose that's my signal to return.' With that she moves to lift hte cup from where it was kept warm, turning to go, giving a rueful smile.
[14:54]  Cae Writer inclines her head to the other girl, turning toward the table once more, clutching the little cup carefully.
[14:54]  Xaz Elephas: "Shame, he was a nice man. I want the girls to see he has a gorean burial."
[14:55]  Cae Writer moves carefully back toward the men, her eyes averting from the corpse as she arranges the skirts beneath her knees, kneeling carefully as she lifts the blackwine up, her voice soft. 'I had to brew it, my Master, please forgive the delay.'
[14:55]  Xaz Elephas picks up some bacon and eats it, "Cae, gather the other girls, see his remains are properly cared for."
[14:56]  Severus Koskinen: "Work is work.." he said tonelessly as he continued his own
